How many of y’all are going to seek out a WFH gig when this is all over? I have to admit, I have really been enjoying it.

Can we start naming firms that are expecting associates to go back to the office five days a week with no wfh flexibility? And which firms are allowing associates to wfh with more flexibility post-pandemic? I hoped there would be a change to the general biglaw face time requirement but seems like some firms are going right back to 2019 standards.

Received the "I'm not feeling well today, so will be working from home today" email this morning. Seriously? I have more respect for my team member who told me on Friday she would be WFH home today.

My family has a 115 year old agency. I've been working there for 15 years as a work from home processor. The agency hasn't been managed and things are in dire straights. They lost their office manager 10 years ago, Commercial CSR 5 years ago, Personal Lines CSR 3 years ago, and an agent 3 years ago (all to retirement) and roles were never replaced. It's a mess. They are asking me if I'd like to take it over. I'm so burnt out from the workload and low pay. Is it worth it to try and save it?

Moving to NYC for work and looking for places. Deciding whether I should live with random roommates or shell out an extra couple hundred a month on a studio/1BR. With COVID getting worse and winter coming, I see it both ways: I may appreciate having other people to live/interact with but I also appreciate a space completely to myself where I'm completely comfortable considering I may have to spend a lot of time at home (I will be WFH most days). Not sure how much longer I can stay cooped up in my house. Been one of the people abiding by social distancing / quarantine, and with the spike (due to more testing, people not social distancing, whatever) its scary to think that we could still be doing this next year. I love the company I work at but they are forcing everyone to return to office after two years working fully remote and the most successful eight quarters the company has had in years. People are leaving left and right forcing me and other team members to pick up the slack. For many reasons I do not want to return to office and they are standing firm on their policy. It has forced me to consider other opportunities. Anyone have any recommendations on remote opportunities?
