Does anyone know if Oliver Wyman, Boston Consulting Group and Bain & Company require a Cover Letter for experienced hire Associate/SA applications?
BCG/Bain have a section to upload a cover letter on their online portal, but it's not mandatory (no asterisk)
OW just have a general attachments section and don't specify either

For real?
Time for folks to shine wearing their I work the hardest badge proudly lol. It’s ok we not writing your reviews nor signing off on your raises, at ease please
I don't think most of us want to work these hours but we don't feel comfortable setting 9-5 boundaries when we were told during the recruiting process to expect late nights.

Been in consulting for 5 years in mixture of FS and private sector work. When I started it felt like 25% did 11 hour days, 65% - 9.5 hour days, 10% - 8 hour days. Now it’s probably more like 10:80:10, which I think is far healthier, do sometimes miss the occasional hardcore squeaky sprint to get a deadline though..
Nobody ever missing them sprints stop lying lol
I work 8 hours any time I can so I can work 14 when I absolutely need to.
