Hello everyone! I am currently new to the UX world, but I found that I've really connected with it since doing some research on the role as a UX Researcher. I have my BS in Psychology and CLDP, and I've had experience with research while in college. However, I'm not sure if my current role would be helpful in transitioning into this career. If anyone could provide some advice as where I could start in order to gain more knowledge or if anyone has any helpful resources that would be great!

I deal with a team that I ask for help to show me how to do something after requesting a task to be done. I am happy to work on the task and learn. All they do is make sure to cover their butt by making an e-mail trail showing the bare minimum of information and expect me to get a task done. After, I tell them I need you to show me how to get the task done and shadow me in order for me to get the task done 15-20min.

I feel like I am drowning daily.

So my 18yo daughter who just started college texted me that she wants to do solo Europe travel in December and mom (my ex wife approved it). My daughter has traveled extensively in the US and abroad with me. However, she has never traveled even to a neighboring town in the US solo and is just learning what it means to live by herself as a freshman.
