I sent my kiddo back to daycare as I’m in an area where restrictions had been lifted and case counts had been decreasing. My husband also works in the hospitality industry so we were already “exposed” in a sense that he was interacting with the public on a daily basis. Additionally, daycare had implemented mask policies, fever checking before you can enter the building, keeping all children together within their rooms with the same teachers all day to reduce the number of people that children are exposed to each day. We felt it was safe to send kiddo back.

We sent ours back in May. The daycare has implemented several measures when they reopened, including temp checks when the kids arrive, parents aren’t allowed inside the facility, regular hand washing schedule.... It has been worth it for us, way more productive and not stressed from morning through bedtime. Kids are happy to be back in their routine as well. Neither have come home with any symptoms, there haven’t been any cases since they’ve reopened. I understand your concern, it’s completely valid, I just needed some relief and thankfully, it has worked and we are all much happier.

Following because i am in the same boat. My original plan was toddler goes to daycare and a nanny for the baby but now I just don’t know. My in-laws are in town so maybe try an arrangement with them to watch the toddler and we’ll just try to manage the baby.

Depends which state you live in and how they have been handling the pandemic. My aunt is the chief nursing officer at a hospital in the SW and she called us all and told us to get all our kids out of daycare.

Check if ur husband has fmla or a lot of pto/ some paternity leave left. If he can cover life an additional month that may give u peace of mind

Also, if u trust ur day care and it is small, has small class sizes, and u know would shut down immediately if there are issues u may be more comfortable sending. Our 2 yr old is going in and I'm pregnant Bc can't work otherwise and we trust her day care (like 6 kids per class and they're outside most of day, teachers wear masks all day and parents stay in car at drop off)

We just sent our 2-year-old daughter back to daycare last week when my husband couldn’t work remote anymore but I’m home with the baby for another month. Live in NY.

Step by step guide to giving notice? Getting closer and closer to the date I’m going to give notice, but can people with experience put in some tips or advice, like 401k rollover etc.

Is it a bad look as a senior associate (on the path to manager within a year) to be driving an expensive car like a C7 or C8 corvette that is $70k+? I don’t think it is and here’s my rationale. I’m making over 6 figures, maxing out my 401k and IRA accounts with extra $ going to a brokerage account, I have a 3BR 1300 sq foot home with finished basement and garage for $170k. My two loans are only $240k combined. Heck most people spend more on a house alone. Work remote so vette isn’t daily driver.

Looking for advice on how/when to tell my bosses I’m pregnant. I’m only 8 weeks and have my first doctor’s appointment this week to confirm the pregnancy. We haven’t told any family or friends yet. We have been back in the office since June, so I’m not working remotely. I plan to wait until 12/13 weeks to tell anyone at work. I’m 29 and a 4th year associate. I do work for 4 main partners, though I have closer working relationships with some more than others. Any advice appreciated!
