You're at a stage which I would refer as "Boiling Point", from here you either make it or break it is simply upto you. Before jumping into advices I would like you to know you are in a phase which is absolutely normal and most of us (even non IT professionals) go through this atleast once.
First of all, stop low-balling yourself, what makes you say you're good in something? I'll save you time by answering that..your own comparison with someone else. Stop comparing and focus more on uplifting your confidence first. You have yourself given your exams in school/colleges, you have yourself cleared job interview and you are yourself earning for you and people around you, that itself makes you eligible for a great honour and respect. Respect yourself dont expect from others, if you think coding is not for you, no big deal, Abdul Kalam never coded too. But if you think you can't move out of I.T field, prioritise to join product based startup, that will teach you too many things. If you're not ready for interviews, that is still ok, see if analyst roles or PMO roles inspire you..if that is difficult too, never mind..start something you love (agriculture, art, cooking, dance, anything under sun) just to keep your spirits high, it might improve your professional life as well, if it doesn't, still okay! Continue doing what you love and consider how could you start second income from that..if that works, gradually convert secondary to primary source..but if you still can't find how to make income from anything else, that is absolutely fine too! Just continue doing what pleases you, if not anything it will help you to stand by yourself until you bring yourself out of darkness!
Hopefully, this helps
Thanks a lot 👍
My context could be different from what the post is about. So, I'll mention both ( Low confidence in general vs low confidence related to a technology )
Low confidence in general, could be there if one has faced many rejections/disagreements in the past, be it from family, friends or the corporate world. Hiding your views with the fear of what the person you're interacting with might think of you will only worsen the situation.
You'll find a lot of words saying "face it head on and you'll get better", but those are just words. No one tells you exactly "how" to face it.
One way that worked for me, was not considering myself special. I developed the idea of thinking like :
"I am a part of whole bunch of shitty human beings who constantly keep forgetting stuff, making mistakes. Probably the person in front of me has done 100s of them and his/her friends would've made fun of that person a thousand times".
So I made myself a part of a herd and realised that's exactly true, people can't keep anything inside of their heads for long. They forget and move on. That's when I gained confidence to do what I want, be it in expressing my views, doing what I like, not doing what I don't like.
In corporate context, telling what I know, not telling what I don't know but with a confidence. So that once I don't tell what i don't know, if I know the next thing that's being asked, I should be able to tell it without getting puzzled.
For a tech, there's a tradeoff between confidence and knowledge.
When you know nothing/very less you have a very high confidence.
As you start building up your knowledge, the confidence goes down.
When you do master that tech., it does come back but never to the level when you thought you knew everything.

Mera question generally low confidence wala tha. Technology m toh master h apun.
I am not low confident but I have great anxiety even for very minor things. I even hesitate and fear to ask for leaves (I have 8 years experience) but work wise I am slightly above average. Also if someone raises voice (clients) or talks rudely, I get anxious too! Working on how to deal with them, work in progress!! 🙌🏻 Many say meditation works, I am yet to try. Will try and hopefully something works 🙌🏻
I am suffering from low confidence from tech side. I am not a good developer, I tried to my best but I think I am a bad in programming, so I don't know how to face the situation in future, sometimes I think change the field but sometimes I think change the technology right now I am a Java developer so think go in Devops sides or go and take a support side project, but now my experience is around 7 years...I don't know how to handle this situation.
And I am the only person in my family who earned, I am taking so much stress, I am feeling very bad for myself. I am not a good performer. Anyone please give me the positive and meaningful suggestions.
Bruh Make schedule and try to read 1 hours daily on your technology to sharpen your knowledge.
Avoid overthinking.. it will help..
I'm low on confidence only when it comes to interacting with women.
I am going through the same due to job change, in security but I have to do it to support my family... Consequences I don't know but I am trying my best to keep everything in one piece...

I hope it gets better for you bro. Keep the hustle on 🔥
Not low confidence but definitely anxiety on any stressful situation. This is mostly in personal life and not related to work at all. Haven't tried therapy just try to distract my mind to other places.
Therapy and medication assuming you are talking about anxiety disorder and not normal feelings of anxiety due to change.

Try to be best of your self everyday, identify all your pain areas and start working on them, dont think about results / future. Just do your best to improve yourself and contribute best.
I've just started my journey as an Investment Banker and the pressure is bonkers. Every fourth day it's a new project and the expectations to catch-up and delivery are just insane.
