How many of you find yourself swearing in meetings? Not in a negative way or directed at anyone but to get points across like “Fuck Yeah”, or “if we do x our users are going to be screwed”. Is it ok to communicate passion or unprofessional?

I try to avoid swearing at work. Totally fine if it slips out every once in a while, but I think that it just comes off unprofessional especially at bigger meetings.

This. We all make mistakes, but in the end you'll be a lot more respected if you can get your point and excitement across in a more constructed way. Makes you sound more mature and put together.

My company does this a lot. I don't mind. It's all in good fun

It depends entirely on the relationship I have with that person. Colleagues it comes out more often than I would like but it’s rarely negative, just used for emphasis. Depending on the client, I just try to make meetings conversational rather than professional. I try to mirror the personalities I’m interacting with so they feel more at ease.

I think it's all about your environment, If you think garyvee is a professional then it's not going to make unprofessional

I don’t think I swear at all to be honest. I feel that about 3/4 of my conversations with Sales have a swear word or 3 though lol

I try not to, but sometimes it does happen. I tend not to unless it's close-knit/smaller teams rather than dropping expletives all over the place. It does happen sometimes and it's okay

Lol never have done that and never will.

Most people don't mind, as it's a way of speaking that most people use in their lives and helps to improve intimacy.

I think the answer here is read the room and know your audience. I’m someone that swears a lot day to day but it depends who I’m talking to and the context of the meeting what “face” I put on. also think this is deeply driven by company culture where it might be fine for some an inappropriate for others.

It really depends on the people you are in the room with. If you are with people that you have a generally good feeling about and are close with it actually boosts morale to not be so posh and professional all the time, I feel. Swearing only connotes passion in most cases.

Question for all in-house recruiters. How many hires are your onboarding on an annual basis? I’m crafting my resume to be able to quantify some of my accomplishments and was wondering if 98 new hires in one year could be a good thing to add or bad? I don’t know what to compare to since my previous company didn’t measure a lot of metrics and data points. Thanks in advance!

Hourly Pattern suggest a potential top. 3 tops, head and shoulders pattern at 3227, 3235 and 3225 And, the first couple short setups did trade late on Friday. 3190 is a key support level. Bears really need to see it move below 21 day EMA at 3195 to get downside momentum. Bearish below 3220.
