To anyone in NYC market, what's a ball park realistic salary expectation for someone with 1YOE? Associate consultant/consultant within business advisory/technology strategy. Strong experience and a master's degree to support (I know not much) but just curious what to expect
I’m a C with a salary in the mid 80’s and up for promotion. I feel this is pretty low compared to my peers. Is it likely that I will have a higher salary increase than my peers?
Is it worth taking up an offer at PwC as a Manager for the same salary I am currently making in my public sector industry job ? The hiring manager at PwC has assured of a promotion to SM in the immediate future.
From a unicorn startup ($5b valuation), offered base is 180k but bonus and equity still pending. how much bonus / equity should i request?
New SMs how was the bonus in your promotion year? Fixed promo + performance? What % of base?
I used to work at West Monroe Partners, it was a great place to work but we were severely under paid. Why cant a management team put the total package together of culture and comp? That would crush.
McKinsey associate partners in nyc make $450k total comp…$300k base and $150k bonus - accurate? Anyone know what junior partners / senior partners make?
What’s better comp structure for competing job offers if the total is the same (or close): 1) higher base salary or 2) higher bonus + retirement contributions
Anyone here able to help with what the Mid level salary range in Miami would be? Also senior if possible, thank you in advance
4YOE post-UG all in strategy consulting. Finally deciding to get out for tech. Current TC ~220K. How realistic is it to stay in the comp range (no technical skills)?
Account 🐟: How long were you an AAE before you got promoted? City/salary would help too 😊
ConsultingHumor’s Instagram page (364k followers) did a massive compensation survey for top consulting firms in the US and internationally. Several thousand respondents with base and bonus salary for all the top (and some smaller) firms. Can be used when negotiating your next raise or to see if you want to jump ship to another firm. What is the difference btw consulting technical manager and practice manager. Which one is better in terms of career progression and salary.
Is anyone else finding the salary discrepancies in our discipline insane? I did a little market research of my own and 5 people all doing pretty much the same job had a $230k difference.
That sinking feeling when you're barely holding pace to make your hours and bonus this quarter, then you're volun-told to take on a big nonbillable firm training project. 😭
What’s the best thing for a new associate to do to get on billable work? I was mapped to an industry I have no experience in; how do I start gaining experience when I don’t have the experience to get on these projects?
Which firms are hiring analysts?
Have anyone done contracting negotiations before? I've interviewed for co A & B and co A extended an offer today. The offer does not meet my current salary. Co B's interview structure is 3 rounds and I've finished my 2nd round today. The recruiter mentioned that since I am a contractor my current salary is incomparable as they will provide benefits, etc. Is this true? I have 2 yrs of contracting HR exp from fortunate 500 co’s & OMW to get my SHRM-CP. Appreciate your advice in advance.
I was approached by Amazon in February and the process has been painfully slow. I’m now going to the loop, but I since accepted and started a new job. Has anyone been in this position? Is it worth going through the loop?
What is the typical turn around time for submitting proposals? I have a lot of billable work I need to do but prospective clients seem to put deadlines within a couple days of the request...
Anyone have any good strategies for taking interviews for other firms while maintaining your travel schedule and demanding meeting schedule? Sneaking around can get exhausting and feel sketchy
Anyone interviewed/work at Square? Interviewing there next week and want to see what the process looks like and what the company culture is.
What type of self help strategies do individuals actually find helpful when you feel burn out or stuck in a rut? Any books, apps, meditation, podcasts, etc, others find helpful? I've done therapy and it has definitely helped this past year with covid and a marriage separation, starting to feel like I'm making progress and want to keep up the momentum. Looking to see what type of self help others find actually beneficial and would love to use that to help others stuck in burn out too
Looking to switch to consulting from FMCG into ACN Strategy. Have an offer with decent hike in pay, but unsure of what the culture/workstream/ project types are going to be. Any insight towards this is appreciated..
Typical salary for financial management consulting? Worth switching as experienced associate audit to this FM consulting group?
Is anyone noticing a trend toward offering part-time or contract roles to reduce risk/cost of bringing on full-time talent?
Saw a job posting for “Global Business Strategy & Operations Manager, Go-to-Market”. What level should I expect this to be at and also breakdown of total comp? Thank you.
Intern here: Legit getting abused by the SC on my project. Should I raise this issue to my manager or just continue to suck it up for my remaining time?
Anyone applying for EMBA at Wharton?(class of 2024). Did you have your interviews already??
How difficult will it be to switch to the commercial consulting practice of another Big 4 firm coming from Deloitte’s Federal consulting practice?
Deloitte is giving 16 weeks of paid leave to employee (male and female) for birth of a child, immediate family care, and care if aging parents. Pretty nice benefit.
PM told me I'll be interviewing a consultant who wants to join our project & I can make the decision to if they would be a good fit. Plot twist - Consultant was a bitch to me in grad school. Revenge?
