Anyone has any experience to share about losing EAD while on the job? I.e. EAD expired while working and did not get renewed in time because of the current uscis snafu? (Mine expires in the coming few months and might not be extended in time). Are firms generally accommodating enough to place you on loss of pay or do they terminate your employment?

As the job market recovers and tech talent becomes especially sought-after, some job seekers can be at a crossroads.

Fledgling startup or a big, established company: where would you work?

Working at a startup helps you pick up new cross-functional skills, forces you to dig deeper into your reserves, and allows leadership opportunities.

Big companies typically have a more structured path for career growth, offer benefits and perks to employees, and are perceived as more stable.
