I do! Every time ! And so we have decided to go back to India this year 😊
Aging parents, never reaching priority dates, aging out kids, visa stamping restrictions, stress during each visa renewal. The list goes on these days

I do! And my parents are just two hour away by flight. Don’t want to expose them so haven’t visited them since the beginning of the pandemic

They are 24-32hours away by flight. :( The visa and travel restrictions, arrghhh
I do miss homeland and parents...need to get rid of golden handcuffs
I do !! Everytime my parents visit and leave or I fly back from India .. just hits me that they are growing old every time I see them !!
I just don't know how to deal with it. Parents are retired, and they never had a happy marriage and now there are always something or the other going. My sibling lives with them and is married. I've been told to come back many times but I can't live there.
Was just crying my eyes out this week and during the holidays for what has become of me.
Although I may end up working in a big city and he asked to go home only on weekends if I move back, I just can't get myself to the point where I can leave. Besides, the political and societal environment in India seems so corrosive. If I had a citizenship I'd live in India for a while and come back

I know what you feel. I had not even thought about it deep until now as life went on when there was no pandemic, I feel bad that I could have been with my parents all this while instead of being here alone by myself. I don't know, this feeling is scary and I feel so horrible. I find myself tied inside a box.
