I tell the students to get a new mask if they sneeze, yawn, drop it, or been wearing it longer than 4 hours. I attempt to explain the bacteria we breath into a mask daily. I have super clear skin, but show them my skin around the mouth. I have had breakouts. I explain that the dermatologist has me using antibiotic facial wipes because of the bacteria we are breathing from our mouth to our skin when wearing a mask. That explanation as well as having lots of masks on hand has helped the kiddos become more conscious of mask changing.

California- I don’t think so. A dermatologist prescribed the wipes. I hate these little hard pimples. Yuck. The wipes really do work!! It’s worth it to go and get them.

I do the same. However, our district just moved back to Phase 1, which means masks are optional. Most of my kids choose not to wear them, and I couldn't be happier.
That’s the problem! We need protections and protocols!!!
I definitely encourage students to replace their mask if they've sneezed, coughed, etc. I keep a box of spares in my desk for these scenarios, or if they break or get lost during lunch.
