Could it be a genuine opportunity provided they are looping RMG, Project manager and giving consent that I can withdraw resignation only if immidieate onsite is given.

I have 4.5YOE in Azure & DevOps. CCTC is 17LPA. I recently gave an interview with EPAM anywhere and they were willing to offer 20LPA for A2 role (Systems Engineer)
I feel that for my experience A3 (Senior Systems Engineer) would be ideal & package can be negotiated better?
Will Epam renegotiate CTC after a few weeks if i come up with a counter offer before DOJ? Kindly help.

How long does it take to receive offer proposal or any update after HR round ??

I just joined a firm (start of November) and I have not gad much work, certainly not enough to meet the billlable. I have been asking for work and I know this is ramp-up but I am not looking forward to all the weekend work in Jan-March to make up for the hours.

Happy to report that the week gone by was very relaxing compared to an intense June. Less than 40 billable hours on my timesheet last week. Went to the gym four times. And finished Season 1 of Stranger Things on Netflix. Life is good again!

Thoughts on thank you emails after interviews? Had my interview this afternoon with 3 partners including the head of the corporate group! Should I send one? To the head of the group leading the interview or to all three of them? And should do it by tomorrow I guess? Sooner the better?

I work in a niche area of law and throughout my career I got to meet many partners at various law firms (mostly at conferences). I haven’t reconnected with many of them in the past 3-4 years, but I still have them on LinkedIn.
Tips on how to reconnect with these contacts without asking for a job right away? I am looking to change firm.

I suck at this job. I make mistakes all the time and partners get on me about them. It’s not because I try to make mistakes but they just happen, far more frequently than I’d like. I’m a third year so I have no clue how I lasted this long to be honest. My anxiety levels are on a 10 because I’m so used to being an overachiever but my suckiness is standing out big time.

Biggest Pet peeve: when I tell the partner there isn’t anything on the issue he wants me to research (after 4 hours of looking) and they tell me to try something else that I thought to search for 3 hours ago. Treat me like an adult and if I say it’s not there, it’s not there.

Explain to me like I’m 5. Why does the monthly billable hours goal on things like Intellistat change month to month. I’m not hitting hours this year. Last month goal was 158. This months goal is 180.

I think that my boss may be wrong about a case analysis but I don’t want to step on their toes/am curious to know if I am missed something that they relied on… how do I ask them?

I’ve seen a few posts about long waits but does anyone know the typical time it takes to receive an offer or rejection after lateral callbacks? Or, if we could start a list of recent experiences with offer timing that would give me an idea. I feel like covid has made everything wonky. Pref big law corporate positions

Is it strange that anyone at my firm (associates/partners) can look up where any lawyer is on billable time for the month? I’m a third year lateral, and my old firm didn’t do that. Is that normal? Feels invasive

I find my job really boring and don’t actually care if my clients get the result they want. I just do good enough work because I’m afraid of being seen as dumb. Is there any way you’ve been able to make work more enjoyable/interesting or should I just go back to school in a diff field? I’ve already tried both litigation and corporate.

Any chance I could switch from corporate biglaw to federal public defender? I’m a first year, but still feel like the switch will be hard to explain. Did some criminal work during law school. Went to a t6 for what it’s worth. Compelling background, but not diverse in a strict sense.
