Was getting yelled at by senior manager via Zoom for going over budget. Didn’t respond, just dropped from the call Intentionally, due to the tone/ aggression shown. Gave him 3 minutes to calm down and rejoined the zoom call. He settled down and adjusted his tone. Do you guys think I need to report to HR this behavior or just let it go? I’m a professional not a child to berate.
SF 🐠: any suggestions for semi-regular weekend volunteering that would leverage a consulting skill set? Preferably healthcare orgs but no clinical background needed. Thanks!
For Baby #2, do you feel like the first six weeks were easier than with Baby #1 simply because you better understood what you were dealing with? And that the crazy no-sleep period *does* end?
This will either make me feel sad or okay.... at 25, how much did you have saved? Not including 401k.
I received an offer from a quant fund. My offer letter doesn’t explicitly state my role/position, it is nyc based, and that it’s full time. It also doesn’t provide benefits breakdown, just a blanket statement that I’m eligible. I’ve spoken to the recruiter about these items, but general response is that this is standard for the company. To me this is all very strange and I feel it should be defined more. Does this sound normal to others? Can’t tell if i should push on this more or leave it.
Is there any healthcare analytics job that requires a top secret clearance? Like I want to get a TS but I have seen a lot of projects dont need a TS for healthcare.
How do you all handle tantrums from your toddler during dinner? We finally made it out to have a socially distanced dinner with a female friend of my husband. My toddler started getting really fussy during dinner and my spouse continued his conversation -not wanting to leave. I took the baby on a brief walk but that wasn’t really helping. Spouse still did not want to cut dinner short (we were already on dessert) and he kept his conversation going. I sat down and baby is grabbing plates (cont)
Any thoughts on shifting 401k contributions from traditional to Roth with the new tax code changes? I'd imagine a lot of us benefit from lower tax brackets in 2018.
Curious what other people's parental leave looks like for companies of a similar size and industry. We are about 150 employees in the CPG (beverage) space. We want to improve/expand our paid leave. How much paid time do you give your employees? Do you give the same amount for the primary and secondary caregiver? Please include your company size and industry.

I’m 29, at my first serious job, and am getting fired (not laid off). Feel like an idiot, and don’t know anyone else my age who has been fired. If you’ve been fired, can you tell me about it? I’m LA based in PR & Comms.
What happens if you don't get promoted to senior after 2 years? Are you pretty much blacklisted at that point? Do you still get a raise?
What positions would I qualify for? I currently work as a Sales Specialist for a Fortune 500. My responsibility is indirect management of sales rep effectiveness/readiness for a specific product category. Throughout my career I have experience direct selling, coaching reps, sales training, strategic management of a product category, cross department partnerships. Anyone consistently and comfortably wear heels? How do you get out of the baby giraffe phase and not look/feel ridiculous?
Is it wrong that I like when people leave or get fired? Not like I get joy from misfortune but I love the drama and scoop
I've recently joined Deloitte India as a Consultant. One of the Associate Directors is forcing me to move to the base location ASAP. I'm not fully vaccinated and have my own inhibitons. 3 back to back deaths in my family due to covid. But he is not ready to understand any point and wants me to move. It's really taking a mental toll on me. What should I do?
How is 72andSunny for non-white folks? I know they had a client-imposed diversity initiative following the General Mills win. Has it helped?

Case Question: US Government decides to compensate the families of COVID victims who have passed away. How do you determine the compensation scheme? Does everyone get the same amount even though some are CEOs and others are janitors? Does it matter that some were in great health and others had underlying conditions? How much is a human life worth? 🙏
Has anyone given any thought to the possibility of keeping quarantined staff and students at school in a separate area and allow instruction to be monitored by said staff? I am not talking ones who are truly feeling ill but we have teachers who have had to ne home with allergy like symptoms...those teachers could monitor students who are also not feeling ill in an area a way from the nonquarantined student body...maybe other schools have students have students who work their hearts out not our
In the times of Zoom therapy how do you deal with being physically in a different state from your therapist where they are not licensed to treat you? Is it ok to lie by omission? I feel like they would never know and I’d hate to stop seeing my therapist because of this.

Consulting work life balance is simply taking a toll on me! Is it true that industry jobs have more work life balance than a big 4 consulting? I like my work but I am working for long crazy hours and also over the weekends (pay isn’t justified at the same time)
Anyone willing to share their sales leadership incentives based on team goals? What’s the norm here?
Can anyone in (previously in) the Accenture Consulting Development Program explain the interview process during remote environment?
Is it rude to ask your RP to meet with you to talk about comp? because I am leaving for vacation next week and will be gone for 2 weeks. And I want to find out before I go on vacation.
I’m looking for some elementary teachers who want to exchange letters written by students. Letters need to be read by the teacher before being sent to make sure they are school appropriate. Letters are mailed to school addresses not to student homes. It would be fun to get a network of participating classrooms from all over the world.
I had an interview for an senior mgmt role at a bank and the interview was going very well. Beginning of the interview, she mentioned my resume was very impressive. She also said I was extremely intelligent and that I had a bright future; however they’re interviewing people with over 26 years of experience and would want someone more seasoned. I’m feeling super discouraged. Why bother with my resume at all?
Have any of you quit to take a break - 3 month or a 6 month sabbatical to pursue other interests or just to clear your head and figure out what’s next. How easy was it to find a job after the break and how did you manage your health insurance? Any other things to keep in mind when considering a sabbatical beyond money?
I’d love to discuss best practices for leave management. Anyone have any tips on which systems to leverage (HRIS, etc.) and approval workflow that they’d like to share? 🙂
