I feel this is legit truth!
Hi Fishes,
I hv cleared all the rounds in Capgemini and submitted all the required documents as well. Now when asking offer letter almost after 15 days they have come up that my graduation and post graduation is from distance and we will first take approval for this and then only we will release offer letter. Please suggest should I wait and trust on this and is it possible for them to change policy for me as an exception. Your inputs are highly valuable Capgemini

Remember that recruiting occurs 18 months in advance - so we would be interviewing you in Feb of your 1st or 2nd year (gets earlier and earlier every year) and you would join us after the completion of your 2nd or 3rd year. We definitely take candidates who will have completed 3 years of IB since they typically know more than 1st years who have been working for ~6 months.
I think the sweet spot is 2 years- a third year can look like "you didn't make it in year 2" which can cast a negative image.
Now, I'm obviously not in PE- but I'd say your resume would read like someone who doesn't know what they want. That's just me- I'd talk to friends in PE and see what they say.
No go to PE asap lol
Doing a third year then making a hop. Maybe there can be an argument, but it depends. I'm looking at LMM shops outside NYC where junior personnel have varying degrees of experience, but not uncommon to see those with 3+ years of prior experience outside PE.
@Goldman Sachs 1 what if you do a third year but mix it up a bit with geography/group etc? Rg two years in one product group or industry group then a year in lev fin or other?
Is there any argument that staying an extra year can position you for a better firm/more confidence in what you want/better skill set to excel?
Thanks to both!
Never mind then! Thanks Blackstone!
