Done all three as well as rebuild brakes, swap transmission, engine swap, tunes, etc. I am into performance and before I went back to college I actually studied automotive and was a mechanic for a while.

like

Changed clutch, replaced axles, alternators, starters, water pumps, timing belts, valve cover gaskets, wheel hubs /bearings, etc.

Only thing I won't touch is cooling and electrical systems on BMWs. 😂

It's a hobby!

Took 4 years of auto tech in high school. How many starters have you rebuilt?

Lived South of Detroit. Very few High Schools didn't have metal shop, auto, and construction trades classes. Best class, best teacher and took up a two hour block. Loved it. Also would like to say was one of the few females that took the class.

None of the above. Not something I flaunt, but fortunately in a market economy, I can pay a professional to do it. I have however assembled my own AR-15 and built a computer from the transistor level that can execute MIPS assembly... so I guess I’m not a completely useless zoomer!

🙋🏻‍♀️ all of the above. Brakes and rotors, too. But that’s kind of the limit.

Damn apartments won’t let me change my oil myself

Just don't dump the oil in the grass or storm drains, that's why they would say no in the first place.

Trifecta!

AB, haven’t done C bc living in an apartment

I changed a tire and damaged the underside of my car because I really should not have done it. For everything else, my car’s under warranty and I have insurance

A and C. Also replaced injectors and spark plugs, fuel filter, intake manifold and some sensors here and there

Grew up in a house with a mechanic. I've done these before I could drive around by myself.

I’ve done all three and rebuilt a motor, did a transmission swap, and boosted a fwd Nissan with a disco potato 🤷‍♂️. Still do everything to my current car, minus when I feel lazy to have a friend do it on a life while I eat lunch

I don't have a car but all of the above for my dad's car!

All of the above. Love working on cars 👩🏼‍🔧

Does anyone have recommendations for classes or trainings that helped you gain greater expertise in reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, particularly sophisticated SaaS agreements? I came in-house with a biglaw litigation background and because of this feel lacking in competency compared to friends who came in house with transactional experience. Ditto to corporate governance. Would love some recommendations so that I can brush up in these areas and feel less like an imposter.

I had a failed natural FET in Sep & did a mock transfer 2 weeks ago (HFET). Results came back Receptive. I got my period 2 days after stopping the PIO. RE mentioned I can start embryo transfer this week & did not need to wait for my next cycle. My periods are not always regular, so I like the idea of not waiting for them to start but also nervous if this could impact the embryo transfer as it would not follow the same timeline as that of the mock cycle. Anyone try this approach with success?

Bought a car today. Finance Manager tried to get me to sign the Bill of Sale without reviewing the carfax report, despite it being mandated by the Motor Vehicle Dealers Act. She ultimately gave it to me after I insisted and contrary to her initial assurance, when I looked at it myself, the car had an open recall. Do I raise the concern with OMVIC (vehicle sales regulator) or am I just pissed off and should forget it?

Am I being dumb here - just purchased a fridge from Lowes, delivery next week. Just found out through company perks that I could get it from a different retailer for $600 less but it is back ordered meaning it could be weeks or months until I get the fridge…. I am leaning toward keeping my order with Lowes … current fridge works, it is just old and shelves / ice maker is broken.
