Is implementation work so different from strat? I worked in multiple projects where the client was ex-MBB and they had no clue on how the implementation works.
Hate to do this, but... large scale EO coming up “... working on an EO to establish a merit-based immigration system to further protect US workers”
Had an interview 2 weeks ago that went really well. Haven’t heard a yes or no just emails asking me to stay tuned. What does that mean? Am I on a waiting list?
I have been offered a 25 percent hike at a big 4 but have another offer with 40 percent hike in a Boutiqe firm. I asked the HR of the big 4 if she could adjust since I have a 40 percent hike letter. She said she’ll check. She hasn’t gotten back to me yet. Should I contact her? Currently working at one of the Big 4.
I work at Deloitte Federal. I love Deloitte just not serving federal clients. I’m on the bench with and I’m a recent campus hire with limited exp. What should I do?
General curiosity... On job applications, how many of you fill in the voluntary form regarding race, sex, and gender?
For those of you who attended an MBA program, what did you do when you were not in the classroom? Besides traveling, partying, studying/homework, interviewing, etc. Were you often attending events to network, getting lunch with faculty, enjoying a hobby, something else? Thanks!
Hello KPMG folks, I need a referral in research and benchmarking (analyst) domain in Mumbai. Is there anyone who can help me to get this job?
Not Covid related, but: Cities you moved to and felt hard or easy in making new friends?
Been talking to a startup. Has pretty decent seed funding from a much larger real estate "parent" company and is seeking series A. Current offer is falls short, any advice for negotiating?
Who’s leaving PwC? Raise yoooo haaaandddd 🤚
MBB 🐠 I’ve heard that your firms generally only keep the top 20% of newer resources after 2yrs. How true is this? How likely is it for someone to get counseled out at the 2yr mark?
Its MBB work really that different from the rest of the consultancies? Outside of the branding and the pay that is?
Would you say summaries are as effective for self help books like "the subtle art of giving a fk" and other similar books? I feel the books themselves ramble on too much on a side story only to tell a point that could be summed up in a couple sentences. Or am I just not getting good book recommendations for growth/development on mental well being and productivity
Talent Acquisition teams: Are you all swamped and behind in your ATS processing right now? Asking as several colleagues and friends are actively submitting REFERRED applications for well-matched roles--but not hearing anything from HR. Is the need for talent real or is it overblown in the media? Or are a lot of TA people simply drowning at work or out on vacation right now? Tx for sharing if you are able! I'd like to give people some hope!
Hey 🐠! As a 26M with an Engineering (not Computer) degree outside the US at good but not great school, and 2YOE in IT consulting + 2.5YOE in Management consulting, would a Masters in CS/MBA at a T15 school make my profile much more atrractive to FAANG PM or SW Engineer roles in the US? Besides also having the skills, of course. Trying to plan the next steps in my career Thanks a lot!
Meritocracy is one of the best ideologies of the modern world. Was reflecting about what it means and the importance of it - it’s a shame that today’s culture is trying to pivot away/“cancel” it. Just a midday meeting thoughts lol Work hard and reap the fruits of your labour.
