Hey folks, welcome to the bowl! I'm hoping this can be a safe space for venting and sharing tips and talking about common issues dealing with depression and anxiety while trying to be successful in consulting.
So, a few things first:
This is a blog I made to help me remember some quick tips for mental health and wellness, as well as just centering and calming myself. If you go to the desktop version, you can view posts under different tags, and from mobile you can just scroll through cat vids and little tips and tricks to keep you going. I like to scroll through when I'm feeling down and I'm taking a break from a stressful day (sometimes while hiding out in the bathroom or a rental car 😂). I try to keep things light enough, but understanding how dark some feelings can get. It's all about removing the shame from being affected by these issues
2) I want to talk to and connect with anyone who wants to chat a little bit more in depth! Feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org any time you have a bad day or want to vent more personally
3) I'm probably going to be in the habit of posting tips that I come across and things that I tell myself in moments and I hope others will too! I want this bowl to help us be resources for one another
Hey Fishes, I got selected for a position with DUSI. I shared the documents with HR and filled the pre hire survey too. Now on following up withe the HR, she said that the recruiter has been changed for my profile and she will contact me. This was 2 weeks back now. How do I connect with the new recruiter? What are the chances of getting offer letter soon?
Hi Tax Bowlers,
I'm an experienced associate (2yrs) in a Big 4 Transfer Pricing division. I have reached a point in my career where I am considering taking up a professional certification. Several colleagues recommended taking up either ACCA or CFA, however, I see little connection between these certifications and the work that I am currently doing, and what I plan to do in the future. What would you guys suggest? Would it be detrimental to my career if I did not take up any certifications?
