Staying sober at work holiday parties be like....
Question for those who know the exit process at Deloitte: If you leave Deloitte (put in your two weeks) do they just pay you for your already earned unused PTO or do they ask you to take it instead of working your last two weeks?
Question regarding Salaried Employees and sick days. I’ve never worked in a company where, as a salaried employee, I had to deduct SICK days from my PTO. What are your practices?
Anyone know Accenture’s PTO Policy?
Headed to a holiday party. quick: give me three interesting non controversial topics to talk about
Thoughts on Google RTO office date? Will it be pushed back more than Jan 10 with the holiday season and all? Don’t want to relocate if we will be postponing RTO
PwC peeps: I have over 135% utilization. Has anybody used G&A code instead of the vacation code? Since I don't see that I'll be on the bench anytime soon and that 30% has to go somewhere. Tips, ideas?
One hell of a productive ‘vacation day’! Spent catching up on all the training requirements and pending client work! #YayPwC!
Currently have my vaca. balance maxed out, but I'm going to take a 3 week vacation in 2 months. Anyway to "spend" my vacation in advance w/o actually taking it so I can continue to accrue more vaca???
Had another AD help my CW on a brief while I was on PTO for a couple of days, and is now refusing to get off the project and letting me do my job. I'm all for collaboration and appreciate the three hours he worked on it, but it's getting to the point that he's trying to steamroll me out of my own team and project by not letting me have any input on my own work. It's starting to really impact the output and dynamics. What do I do?
Asalamualaikum everyone, hope everyone had a great thanksgiving holiday and some Black Friday shopping with family and friends? This is my first time in this bowl and I’m liking what I see so far.
I took PTO today (to my job) and worked today (to my family) and just sat in my home office on the internet
How many unused vacation days did ya’ll throw away in 2017? Most of the M’s/SM’s/PPMD’s I know have saved the max and take less than two weeks each year. Wondering if this is common across the D.
What do you all do once you hit hours and want to coast (or just not work at all) for the rest of the year? I recently took vacation so feel weird taking another back to back, and my existing matters are still busy. Should I just do it? Could probably take 3 weeks completely off and still hit hours.
I learned the other day that Deloitte counts PTO against your chargeability. Is this common with most firms? (ACN doesn't count PTO in chargeability calculations.)
Did Netflix set the House of Cards release for tomorrow to prevent us from binge watching over the holiday weekend?
We are pitching a big hotel brand. Anyone work on one? What should we know about the category and clients?
Anyone just getting tired of their partner on a whole new level with WFH? I feel like we are getting into spats more, I'm getting more resentful of the lack of even workloads/effort, and to top it all off these tensions are literally invading my personal space! Not looking for advice really. Just wondering if anyone else is feeling partner fatigue more now than the Before Times.
During the interview, If the interviewer recommended you to talk to somebody else in the firm but not the original rescheduled interviewers, what does that mean? After the recommendation, he stopped asking me questions. And the conversation only covered about 60% of the whole interview timeline. Shall I follow up with him about the ‘mentioned talk’?
What would you do if you were out on a parental leave for 12 weeks? (Besides taking care of your newborn) Taking ideas!
Anyone at b4 merge your phone number to the company issued cell phone? Do they get to keep your number if you leave? I’ve had the same phone number my entire life and don’t want to lose it…not that I ever plan on leaving.
I build products used by many users but had a project added where my team will build an app only for one client. If it’s successful, it may be marketed to similar clients. I am now working as a project manager for this - where the client asks for something and we just build it. It’s completely white glove and will not scale. When I communicate this to executives, the response is “just build what they want”. I’m losing sense of purpose and motivation.
Plane lands in JFK 20 minutes ahead of schedule, pilot speaks over the intercom and says, "well folks we've arrived way ahead of schedule, but there's traffic like no other.....welcome to NY!!"
