Closets and layout are more important than square feet. You need a place to put all your stuff so it doesn’t drive the other person crazy.

This is key. Went from a 1BR to a 2BR but lost a lot of closet space.

We have a 1300 sqft 2BR. The spare bedroom is my office for full time wfh. He works from the dining table of our open concept LR/DR/kitchen when he’s not in office. Personally if we were both perm wfh daily I would want two doors that could close bc I don’t like feeling like I’m tiptoeing around my own kitchen/sofa midday, but all things considered we are very fortunate to have the footprint we do

In Jackson Heights depending on your budget you could get a two bedroom.

Hello. I’m working on H1B and recently got a promotion. My company is amending my H1B and told me that since my new job is remote I can only work at my apartment (since it’s my legal location). Is there any chance they can figure out I’m working remotely from somewhere else? Also, I’m also in the process of applying for green card (thru employment). Does anyone know the timeline for this given my H1B is getting amended ? (My country has no waiting time).

I’m fully remote for 2 years now. More productive than ever. Present for my family like never before. Have met more people from my company than I would’ve if I’d rely only on bumping into them. Have a much more focused, open and dynamic creative process with my teams. My company doubled size. Why would anyone consider going to a physical place to do work that’s delivered digitally ever again, even if for a day per year?

I work full time in a (foreign) country where employees are protected pretty well. Our agency lost clients and they need to lay people off. I’m on that list too. They are convincing us to accept a voluntary resignation with 5 months of salary. I can refuse (law will protect me) and stay on but I have barely any billable work to do and of course this will create some toxic relationships with management. (CONT)
