Just got my P n C license… what opportunities are out there what is the starting salary for someone like me?? Rather it be personal or commercial. I’m in NC

I currently make 78k at Lockheed but I’m not doing what I’d like to be doing and i felt stuck and after many conversations with my manager and no solution in sight, I started applying elsewhere. I just recently got an offer from a smaller AI company for 95k that I plan to accept. I’m happy to make the jump, I just don’t know how my manager/coworkers will react when I tell them I’m leaving.

Need help figuring how much we can afford to spend on a mortgage each month. HHI is ~210k and we have no debt. If we put 20% down on a 650k house, the monthly payment would be ~$3200 (~35% of take home income, after taxes + 401k). Is this fair or will we be house poor? Can we do more or should we stick at this price range? No kids yet but planning for them in next 5 years. We have a roommate who would move with us but I don't want to depend on that for paying the mortgage.
