About 6 I wear frequently. Usually I have two pairs of trousers made for the everyday suits.
below are the list of major color categories in my order of versatility: Navy Blue - Most versatile since you can dress it up or down, with a tie, open collar, pocket square 0r not; and even with a t-shirt and a ball cap on the right occasion. Lighter Blue, Gray with a light or chalk pinstripes Dark Gray, Black with Black pinstripes, Blue with Blue pinstripes Lighter Gray, Gray with a light or Chalk pinstripes Least - Brown, Tan, Black with White pinstripe A solid black suit is only appropriate for homecoming, prom, weddings, and funerals. My tailor makes 2 pair of pants for each jacket - flat front, no cuffs.
Navy blue Regular blue Dark grey Maroon Black Tuxedo (in black)
Thanks responders. Surprised no one else has responded. Is this too simple a question?
Im an entry level and have 3 suits: navy, black and gray with dark gray plaid lines. I have 30 shirts though😂
Navy with pin stripe Dark gray pin stripe Dark blue Light gray Dark gray Tux Black with Mao collar (for when tux seems too boring)
Too many. 6 custom (from tailors in Hong Kong and Bangkok), 10 off the rack, but tailored. Solids in black, gray, navy, khaki, plus some window pane/check, and chalk striped versions. Plus custom tux, and some seasonal stuff (seersucker, linen, etc) that I don't really wear much for work. Customs have 2 pairs of pants each, others 1.
