I have heard that Goldman Sachs is rescinding offers of temporary contract workers. I have an offer letter from Goldman Sachs Bangalore for a full time permanent role and am already on notice period. Got an offer to work at a boutique PE fund as an intern for the next few months. The role is however unpaid and the fund is new.

For some background, I’m going to be starting at a T-2 firm doing CDD for PE funds in January. Wondering if getting this kind of experience looks good when I apply to analyst roles 1-2 years out? Don’t want to work without getting paid unless the experience is valuable. Would love any perspective on this.

Has anyone considered opening a franchise? I would love to transition from law to business but have zero experience and am thinking a franchise may be the best option. I wouldn’t have as much control but it would provide a business plan and how to to get out there and get started. Curious if anyone else has considered. Does anyone here struggle with basic things at work? For example, being on time.
