Most likely getting fired, tips on how to find a job ASAP? I made a pretty big mistake that required supplemental filings with government offices to fix (missed some items when reviewing/comparing long lists of things across 20-30 years). It’s fixable and the client isn’t really getting hurt by this (worst case signing gets delayed), but my anxiety is telling me to prepare for the worst. Can I ask for extra time at the firm to find a new job (so I wasn’t “fired”)? Or should I go for severance?

I did not get a full time offer from my internship this past summer at a top consulting firm they told me on the second to last day. I have been trying to recruit at other consulting firms however haven’t received any offers yet. I struggle with severe depression and anxiety and often struggle with telling others when I struggle with it. Just heard back from my manager that I was promoted!! And my manager told me the raise would start from Apr so I should expect to see a bit extra on my pay check. The question is last time when I got promoted, I was told the same thing that the salary was increased before I was being told about the good news. However, I didn’t see that pay anywhere.
