I kid, I kid. Honest answer is it depends on what I’m doing. A day of depos fills up almost hour for hour. An office day bouncing between multiple matters, could be 10-12.

Depends on the task. Heavy drafting, it's close to 8 or 9. When you start billing on a lot of emails and different matters, that often lessens but not always. Just be fair to yourself and the client. Don't cut your own time

8 human hours is equal to 10 lawyer hours.
I am a first year and it usually takes 10-12 hours and I feel the same way, wondering if I'm the only one who's inefficient.

The billing thing is so exaggerated. Everyone acts like if you're not literally typing a contract / memo out then you can't bill. The truth is you might be away from your computer thinking through something. You may be on a call. You may even be talking to a colleague and as long as it is reasonable and relates to the matter you're working on, it's billable.

Depends on the task(s), but I really make an effort to be focused and efficient. I close my door, listen to celestial white noise (lol) and try to get shit done.
That said, it usually takes me between 8-10 hours, unless it’s one of those days where everyone has lost their gd minds.
9 tops

Like others hve said- depends on the day. I’m in a depo or mediation, easy. On a typical day if I’m really good I can do it in 9
9-11.
