How many years does the typical paraplanning role last before transitioning to a servicing advisor? Current firm initially stated 2 years during interview process, since joining have heard them say anywhere from 3-5 years. Had about 2 YOE before joining.

Or the promotion for the mid year already done?
I see for many people the designation has changed but for me it's not. I was under the impression that the promotion happens after the mid year discussion or after the year end discussion.

Thoughts on getting fed government jobs? I'm a first year associate in a specialized transaction group in DC and I fucking hate it.
