How many YOE does one need to land a manager role in Corp strat or Corp dev at a mid-cap biopharma?

I started my first in-house role about 4 months ago and I don’t think it’s the right fit. I love the no billable hours aspect, but otherwise I miss the structure of being at a firm. How long do you think I should try to stick this out before I move on? I want to give the job a real shot - and i know the transition to in-house can be jarring…but I also don’t want to spend too much time in a job that is a wrong fit.

I have been saving and I am considering two options. 1) Open up my own accounting shop and quit my day job. I would have to start with no clients. 2) Buy another rental property and keep working just hard enough to not get fired. Which option would you recommend to your little brother?

-A top 10 firm $95k plus bonus

The HR from the top 10 firm said they have more WLB than big 4. But I think Big 4 has more opportunities than smaller firms. Which one should I choose? Thank you guys.

Has anyone had an experience where a company is trying to recruit you by creating a custom role? What is the interview process like?

What would be some other next steps as some1 who works in ad ops (as a manager). I know I can move up 2 being an Associate Director but I hear growth overall in the field is limited.

Question: I currently work as an inside sales account manager selling a wide portfolio of IT products. I’ve been recruited for a role that would be an outside sales role selling ONLY a software solution that Im able to sell at my current company (but usually don’t due to other options that we are compensated better off of.)
