Hi 🐠 ! Our mid-sized accounting firm in SoCal ☀️ is growing and recruiting IT, SOX, lA and Technical Accounting professionals across levels (Senior to Managing Director). Big 4 experience preferred, but not required. Know anyone who may be interested? DM me. (i'm ex-Disney, working at that firm now. TIA!)
Anyone else with big 4 experience looking to find a rewarding career path with an undergrad degree in accounting? What career options are out there without having to go back to school?
Infosys is offering me an almost 50% rise from my current base pay with 100% remote and client-specific travel only. Need to know if it will be a good move for me or not considering that Deloitte (my current company) is one of the Big 4. I am not sure whether joining Infosys will close the door of other Big 4 or Accenture for me or it doesn't make a difference as I already have 5+ years of experience working with Deloitte with an overall experience of 12+ years.
Has anyone FIREed after working for a few years as an SM at Big 4? What did you do after quitting? Coast fire and work an easy job? Passive income? How much did you have banked ?
Why does international tax think they are better than everyone else? Is it just the teams I’ve had to work and communicate with or is this the norm?
Recently left for an exec position in industry. Yesterday, CEO handed me 7 proposal decks for a project we're kicking off. Two from MBB, three from B4, two from other. How the turntables...
IB hours vs FDD in Big 4, which is worse?
Hello everyone, I would love to get some big 4 experience but I'm only a staff accountant at the moment. What are some ways to get my foot in the door? I'm not a CPA btw.
I received an offer from a big 4 firm so how do I inform my current firm? It’s going to be hard to leave because of all of the relationships but any tips? Don’t want to burn bridges
Those who switched from audit to fp&a - could you provide any tips on how to tailor the resume to get interviews? I’m a senior at B4 with CPA and have applied 90+ companies but no interviews yet. In my resume I highlighted my experience in reviewing budget to actual variances, forecast models, valuation reports, using excel, etc., which I think is relevant to fp&a. How should I further polish my resume to increase my chances of getting interviews? TIA!
Benefits and exit ops of doing TAS? Also, what’s the best place to do this at? Midsize, B4, or other, etc.. coming from audit senior.
Current Student interested in FDD. Have only really considered Big 4 firms for this. Looking through various bowls, I keep seeing a lot of people in FDD go from big 4 to Alvarez & Marsal and having nothing but positives. As a student, should I be considering firms like Alvarez & Marsal for FDD, or should I stick with big 4?
Though likely to take a couple years, looks like the Big 4 audit firms will have to shed their consultancies (again). Will the US and other countries’ regulators follow suit?

As much of an attention grabber as this is, does this make you cringe because it's on LinkedIn? No? Okay, just me :\ **Reposting for privacy concerns of the poster
When you finally have enough status to get upgraded to first. This is the beginning of a beautiful thing.
Watson scares me. Down with Watson.
How to lose your job like a pro: 1. Set my LinkedIn profile to “Open to Work”. (To get contacted by recruiters) 2. LinkedIn automatically generated a public post for me to inform everybody (without my knowledge) 3. my manager just liked the post. 4. Now I have an awkward meeting to attend Monday morning AMA 🤦♂️

Anyone work any part-time weekend jobs? Have some big expenses coming up that won't necessarily be covered by my primary role and curious to hear some anecdotes.
