I joined this firm in early 2011 and they had 50% match until I hit a certain level. I also had an aggressive set of funds I chose until this year when I turned it over to a FA provided by ACN. I actually had done better than them but the swings are smaller now.
So I believe I was getting 24-27k a year (depending on the year and contribution limit) with the match plus growth.
Some good fortune - sponsored b school, minimal college debt - and then I spend very little - 25k/year all in (rent plus food plus vacations) for three years post undergrad, then a big ramp up to 60/year for bschool and on but with a big salary bump too. Plus an MBB salary all along. Probably around 100-150k of the total due to appreciation (I'm about 90% in just index funds, nothing fancy, but it's been a nice long bull market)
$3.50 , 30. Yolo.
Another dick size question!!
I'm not doing something right 🙄
@EY2, we prefer the term "benchmarking" in consulting...
$210k, 33, 7"
$1.8 million. 52. Been maxing since I was 20. Has tripled over the past 8 years under Obama.
$660k, 46
$300K - 31
The question isn't how many times you will live but how long
At 35 I had $0 living through three recessions. Now at 41, 167k 401k (max every year for last five), 80k stock market (built on the marker return), 333k ACN stock (a positive not being in the big 4 anymore).
Never too late to fix if you screw up young like I did.
I've seen huge gains under Obama as well. Thanks Barry.
$160k, 37. Plus other investments and home equity
$170k, 28
Am I missing something? Isn't the yearly limit 18k? And then another 5.5k for ROTH? How can these numbers be so high?
Another dick 'benchmarking' question!!
I think it might of been a 401k joke.
$365, 36
$1.2m, 46. Maxed out contributions since 22
^Dude, I applaud you 👏🏾
