I see a lot of Big 4 consultants romanticize strategy work on this forum, but are there any other MBB consultants that don't like strategy? Personally haven't enjoyed the strategy work I've done
Is a BCG Associate Director the same as a Big 4 cyber senior manager? The qualifications match but I keep getting rejected within 24 hours. Not sure if referrals help - Any insight from BCG folks?
At same package working for which Big 4 will better for growth in the long in run and why EY or KPMG ? Considering SAP profile
PSA: never hire b4 & Accenture mc for anything that is close to strategy work. Just started at T2 strategy firm and it turns out we are cheaper than b4, lols. I would for sure hire t2 instead for better talent.
How much are the hourly rates for the seasonal contractors at the B4 firms? Especially in tax. Thanks
What do tax people do at big 4? Is it like consulting? I’m thinking specifically of specialized areas like international tax
Serious question: how difficult is it to get straight up fired from big 4? Outside the layoffs last year, I have personally never seen anyone let go for any reason. There's always some PIP or transferring projects or some long review process that never goes anywhere. Anyone have any insight or stories? Just looking for some perspective.
Why are the Big 4 considered to be the best places to work and best consulting firms? Other than prestige and brand I don’t understand why they’re consistently rated and regarded so highly
Have 7YOE in tech implementations but I’d like to go to MC. Would I be looking at a pay cut because I have no experience in MC? Currently an M2 in Tech and looking to make the move to M1 in MC at B4. Current base is 180 in T1 city.
I was thinking of pivoting to an ESG related position. Does anyone here have experience working within this service line and/or have any advice/suggestions (I.e obtaining certain certs , etc.)? Not much info about ESG experiences within the big 4 online but it does seem interesting given the ambiguity around it. Thanks!
Hi Tax Bowlers, I'm an experienced associate (2yrs) in a Big 4 Transfer Pricing division. I have reached a point in my career where I am considering taking up a professional certification. Several colleagues recommended taking up either ACCA or CFA, however, I see little connection between these certifications and the work that I am currently doing, and what I plan to do in the future. What would you guys suggest? Would it be detrimental to my career if I did not take up any certifications?
When considering inflation, do I have reason and leverage to legitimately try to negotiate my offer from big 4 after doing internship and graduating with masters degree in nyc?
Hello, can someone tell me what are big 4 fresh grads consulting salaries like in Canada for strategy and M&A consultants? Thanks :)
I have offers to lateral in as a BA/ASC at MBB or a manager at a Big 4. Similar TC (B4 slightly higher). Which one would you take?
Accenture has stock discount options, do other firms (Big 4) have anything equivalent before partner level?
I’m seeing a lot of job req’s for Bain’s Advanced Analytics Group nationwide: does this group operate like a centralized Analytics COE to onsite strategy teams? (I.e. Consultants advise executives/leads on An analytics roadmap, and AAG come in and implement, rather than go with a Big 4 / Indian IT shop?) Thanks guys. Bain & Company
I keep seeing conflicting responses, for MBA application resume do you include a professional summary? Thanks!

Can anyone help? Does anyone know what a fair ratio is for the amount of money you bring into a company VS the amount you should be paid (i.e. salary + commission)? I work for an IT partner / Tech company, and from outbound cold market selling have added over 40 companies to our books, which over the last two years has generated €850,000 revenue, and will likely be in excess of €5 million in the coming years. What do you think I should be earning?
Best books or podcasts on how to introduce discipline as a baby moves towards toddler-hood? No idea how to discipline or set boundaries but know that it is needed. Where to start?
Has anyone started traveling yet? Client’s city has not had an outbreak and I’m slated to travel soon. I’m fairly nervous and refuse to fly so looking at driving 5-6 hours. I also have a young kid and my husband works lengthy hours so I’m pretty apprehensive but don’t feel like I’m at liberty to decline travel.
What would be potential benefits to ask for when negotiating a contract for an ACD position?
How many interviews did you go on before getting an offer? I have interviewed with 4 companies since October and was passed up on all of them. The interviews seem to go well and the people I speak are generally positive at the end that there will be follow up. I usually make it 2-3 rounds before being rejected. This is killing me...
When did you feel like you were successful? People around me think it’s impressive that I work at Deloitte; however, I’m miserable and hate the work I’m doing. Just accepted another job that others would deem a dream company and salary but I’m just afraid of being miserable there too. I just don’t feel like I’m good enough, will be happy, or be in a position where I feel like I’m successful as others.
Spg platinum line is way better than the ambassador. The systems recognize your phone number so they don't ask for your spg number. Also, Americans pick up at night instead of the Chinese ambassadors.
My shop got back to the office and whenever we have a client/vendor call and they are all still remote I feel so embarrassed to be dialing in from a room full of people. Just make us look like morons.
