Hi - how is the Deloitte US Delivery Center as a whole for a developer role? Am interested in knowing career growth opportunity and general perception and perks etc. Any inputs will be appreciated. 2.5 YoE, MS, currently in Big 4 tech consulting USDC. Analytics & Cognitive. Deloitte Consulting
Have a senior consultant offer from a Big 4 and a product manager offer from a pharmacy retailer (cvs, walgreens etc), but both are similar roles in digital PM/strategy. Which offer would be best to take to help me eventually exit to the tech industry in a similar role?
Do people actually enjoy working at big 4 or is it the same issues everywhere? I’m in big consulting and thinking about interviewing at big 4 for SC2 roles, I want to make more $$ but idk if I’d be happy...
Has anyone ever been able to return to the same B4 they left with a PIP on their record? Curious if this has ever been done before and if a PIP is even a factor.
I know the UK pays less but I am seeing differences of $80-100k for Advisory M at one of the Big 4. Why in the world are salaries so low? And don’t say healthcare. My healthcare is like $140/month for a PPO w low deductible. Plus taxes are less here. Makes the thought of a potential move over there hard :/
Is it true that Advisory branch of Big 4 and EY in particular is not doing well. Pipeline targets are not being met that is going to have a spiral effect on hiring, promotions FY2020
Thoughts on moving from Big 4 audit to Financial Advisory? Pay jump would be about 50%, but the new firm is small. $25M in revenue and new office in my city - I feel like there is a good amount of risk. I’m a S1 about to be a S2
Can someone give me feedback on my profile? GRE: 333 GPA: 3.3, Top 15 US undergrad in STEM CFA - Joined a YC tech-startup as an early employee and saw us through seed funding; working with the CEO - Big 4 M&A Top 5% performer (left after 3 years) Targeting M7 schools. Thanks!
I accepted an offer at Deloitte and start in three weeks. I am also in processes at another Big 4 and MBB. If I get substantial better offers from them, would it be crazy to leave D after a couple months? Start dates for other potential offers are Jan 3.
Do most of the big 4 have a pension still for partners? I thought I heard most got rid of them recently.
Is it lame if I leave right when I get my first promotion from A to SA? (Im talking 1 month into being an SA) Would it look bad to future employers & do I still retain the clout of making SA at big 4?

Does it make sense to boomerang back to big 4 just to brand my resume for exit ops in moving to industry in the future? I’m two years away from manager and my plan is to leave public once I make manager. My thoughts are exit opps will be greater if I leave from a big 4 AAS group rather than leaving from my current middle market firm, but does it really matter leaving from a middle market vs big 4?
I recently got a verbal from B4 firm but have yet to receive the written (going on 2 weeks now). I have recently received another verbal offer from a different B4 firm. How should I negotiate with the original firm for more $? What would you say? This is my first time switching jobs so fairly new.
What would be your advice? Take LinkedIn offer or stay with Big 4 Consulting (offer details below) LinkedIn Offer: - Role: Senior Strategy and Ops Manager - Total Compensation: ~360K (Base: 185K ; Bonus: 28K;RSUs:150K 4y - Annual Comp: ~250K - Really interested on the role Current Big 4 Role: - Agile Promoted to Manager recently; 8+ Yrs of Experience + MBA - Total Compensation: ~220K (Base ~202K; Bonus ~18K) - Don't enjoy the work much, but work hard and get the job done
Counter offer in hand, need thoughts. After first "negotiation", they offered that they could at best match my base. Current situation: 195 base, no bonus Counteroffer: 170 base + 20k sign on + 20% performance bonus This feels like I'm getting the short end of the stick, right?
I’m a Product Manager who wants to change careers. What is a job where I can work independently and am more task oriented? Meaning I want to know what I have to do for the day, and I can knock it out at my own pace. Maybe it’s COVID, but I’m sick of meetings with other people and simply want to be the owner of the outcome instead of being dependent on other departments/people. Obviously bonus points if it’s a sensible transition from a PM!
Fed Tax staff 1yr exp and no specialty. Want to do nonprofit tax but not sure I want to stay with my current firm. Should I try to make the jump here and switch later or start applying to other firms?
Is it normal for companies to schedule more rounds of interviews with you after the on-site?
Does anyone have a standing desk mat they recommend? I have a large L desk that is convertable and looking for one thst is comfortable to stand on but could also have a chair role over it for when I'm sitting
MBB folks on H1-B who recently switched to FAANG - did you run into any issues with visa transfer? My transfer has been filed and I’m a bit nervous about USCIS’ perception of consultants and the current sentiment around H1-B visas.
MBB manager vs FAANG product: pros and cons? I was excited about the perks in consulting but with all of them gone (and likely we’ll never go back to the glamorous lifestyle fully), product roles that I earlier said no to seem lucrative.
I understand Delta is giving flight credit for all canceled flights right now. But does anyone know the time horizon? can I cancel 30 min before my flight?
Claim unemployment or try to find your hardest to find a job in the next month and omit the layoff? I want to rush but not settle. Definitely don't want to go back into consulting.
Hi all, I have got 2 interview calls from the same organization. The first call went till 2 rounds amd 2nd call came after that. What should be done in this case should we reject the second call.
Can anyone tell me the Salary range for Deloitte India (DI) Associate Director role for SAP practice?
What does everyone think of the new Uber Visa card? It seems like a perfect card for traveling consultants... I'm torn between the Uber Visa and the Chase Sapphire Reserve. Thoughts?
Had the weirdest call with someone from an offshore team… are offshore folks allowed to work for two Big 4 companies at the same time?
Is the buyside grass really greener?
What kind of interview questions does a recruiter ask vs a creative director? What’s the biggest difference? Just got into the industry so need a bit of help prepping for interviews, thanks!
