Seeking advice: Looking at long term Career salary trajectory between the big 4 vs big tech. Currently a director /sr manager at a big 4 and have an offer from a big tech firm paying 30% more. Long term, i can make partner at my firm in a few years if I stay, which has its benefits. If i go to big tech, im assuming i will be able to make partner salary even sooner. $ aside, not sure about the wlb at big tech. looking for advice from everyone else if i should stay at my firm or take this offer?

Towards the end of 2021 I renegotiated my comp package as part of a counter-offer to retain me. From what I’ve gathered the new salary put me well in the bracket for the management level above my current band. I’m now going through a promotion process but curious if I should expect any additional salary increases as I’ve already had this salary increase recently? I’m expecting there to at least be a small increase (maybe £2-3K), whereas most promotions see a £8-10K increase. Thoughts?

Do all partners at same level get paid the same? I would imagine that the bonus based on sales + additional factors based on how the firm/practice/domain/sub-domain is doing accounts for the variable pay on top. Just curious as to how the constant aspect of the salary works when in partnership.

I’ve got two offers - one as Microsoft dev, the other as Gov agency dev. Gov hours are great and benefits slightly better than Microsoft.

MS Pros:
It’s dream job (I think but can’t be 100% certain)
It’s Microsoft

MS Cons:
No promise of good W/L balance (I have kids)
No pension
Not as stable as Gov job.

Assume base Salary is the same.

I had 3 webex interviews with the same link. The first worked great but the final 2 were no shows, the “join meeting” button never lit up when a host starts the meeting again.
HR claimed that the interviewers did in fact go the meetings, but that there could have been a connection issue. As someone who works in digital media, I feel as though the interface is rather simple and the error is not on my part or the app. Have you had any no-show web interviews? Issues similar? Bought $10.6k worth of ETH for a weighted average of $302 a piece as word on the street was that price will rise to $400-$500 by the end of this month (due to metropolis). What we realized is if we ask a question, he responds by repeating same words e.g. do you want banana he will say banana, if he doesn't want it then will not say anything.
