Recently started B4 accounting advisory - my projects keep getting delayed or cancelled and for the last few months I’ve only worked about two weeks. My next engagement just got cancelled and now I’m seriously worried about my utilization and about getting fired after just starting. My counselor was aware of my situation but didn’t mention too much about it and I’ve been reaching out + letting people know I’m available this whole time. Don’t know what else to do and how concerned I should be
Just got an offer for a senior position in FDD at a Big 4. What should I expect to be making? Want to make sure I'm in line with the market. In the New York area.
Big 4. Last year was a promotion year for me, and I killed it. Got the promo, the highest performance rating, a 15% raise, and a 20% bonus.
What would the salary for a Manager 2 in audit, financial services be in the Big 4 in the Bay Area/ NYC ? Hoping to get some numbers before the raises are finalized !! Thanks
Offer for 110k + promotion to hop to another B4. 40% jump from current comp but high % chance of promotion in a couple months and clearly defined career path/strong support here. Worth it?
I’m wondering what Accenture is actually doing. Is it more like a Big 4 Firm, doing theoretical consulting things. Or is it more a IT-Service/ Outsourcing company like Connection, Atos, Bechtle, etc. doing hands on technical things? Where is the main focus on?
Trying to move from midtier to big 4 - is it better to leave after 1 yoe or 2 yoe (after you hit senior)?
Does anyone think in a few years the structure of public accounting firms will change? It seems like the younger generation is not sucked into the “big 4 brand” and actually value work life balance that involves no busy season.
Which of the big 4 + ACN pay the most for SAP?
Up for promotion to manager, have an offer to leave Big 4 for a 35% pay bump. Would you try to negotiate if you know others who have jumped to the same company for 15% more?
A goal of mine is to leave my PA firm (one of the big 4) this year. Currently in my fourth busy season. Do you think I should wait until getting promoted to senior and leave right after, or leave after this spring busy season? I am not super eager to get a senior position because with Covid and the inevitable learning curve, I don’t feel equipped to accept one. So I was thinking of applying for entry positions. Any advice?
Anyone know NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) well & willing to zoom tutor for an hour? Would like to hear about it in a practical sense, big 4 or similar preferred. Will venmo $125 💵☺️
In the final round of interview with a San Fran startup that’s about to go IPO... but I know I’d be also giving up lots of the structures & project flexibility & diversity offered here at big 4. What rationale would you use to make a decision?
6 years work experience as a Senior Manager at Big 4 with solid project experiences/fast track promotions. 3.6 GPA top 15 school in business. 680 GMAT. Any chance at M7 FT?
Anyone knows what's the equivalent of the capital markets function of Accenture in the big 4? Would it be S&o for Deloitte? How about the rest?

What compensation should I expect as an external hire for EY NYC FSO Business Consulting? 2YOE in audit, Ivy League grad, CPA. I have my offer already, just wondering if I should bother negotiating EY
Partner who assigned me more work after I told him I was slammed came into my office today and asked if I did anything fun over the weekend. I pointed to the two stacks of papers on my desk and told him I was reviewing motions and preparing the responses I sent him yesterday. He said “come on, don’t tell me that.” Why ask the question if you don’t want the answer, I’m not going to lie and say I had plans when he can see I billed 17 hours over the weekend.
Salary negotiation tips / tactics?
If I took a part time MBA program, can I still campus recruit for a summer role at MBB, Big 4, FAANG, etc?
Best way to invest signing bonus?
Is it possible to interview into a role up at another firm, if I am looking at a promotion already (double jump)? Id probably would lack the YOE even though my promotions were consistently fast. Would it be better to just stick around?
I graduated with my bachelor's in HRM and I'm wondering if there are any certifications or trainings I could do before I lock down on the SHRM-CP. I recently became HIPAA certified for my company and that got me thinking about what else I could do to add to my resume. Looking for good stepping stone certificates.
Here’s a project that I’ve been working on for over a year. There are about 150 icon portraits on this wall featuring individual illustrated quotes. It was created for the lobby of a VC incubator in Santa Monica.
How bad is driving in the winter in Michigan? I’m looking to take on an 18 months project on the western side and considering staying at East Grand Rapids. My commute each way would be about an hour.
About to start a new job but have a pre-planned 2.5 week vacation for end on September. Feeling a bit uneasy about taking such a long break so early into a new position.... will they think I’m lazy and immediately get a red flag? I know it’s long but I haven’t taken vaca all year!

What should I wear for an interview to lateral into big law as a woman? My current practice is very casual and I rarely dress even in business casual clothes. Go for bright colored blouse with suit jacket and pants? Skirt a must? Stay classic with black and white? Heels or flat shoes? Do I need to do my nails? Hair curled/put back? Not sure how much this all matters beyond generally dressing up.
