153.3 but it was my first full month back after having our second kid and I’m mad proud. Also, partner now, so trying to push work down.

207 but don’t get paid nearly enough at a ny midsized firm. Will be punting work this month to try and coast a bit. Usually it is more of a lifestyle firm, but need to push for it. My personal goal for this month is 145 or less 🙌🏽

Same

0, paternity leave. Stressful in it’s own right but still better than billing!

@Associate65 - I'm at an AmLaw200 and I don't disagree with you. The short of it is that I'm up for partner this year and my group is very short staffed right now. Plus I have my own clients to service.

Either everyone had insanely good months or the people answering are only those seeking to brag lol

I don’t have any stated billable requirement

like

Zero because I don’t have to bill 😁

35.9. I put in notice to leave in mid-April and rode that wave home. My last day at the firm is this week so that is for the entire month of April

This is why firms usually drop people the day of or next when they give notice.

159 and I still hate it

Yup

Man, I break 150 in a good month. I guess this is part of why I’m leaving practice and probably won’t miss it.

Good luck! See you on the other side.

Man these posts stress me out

I am one of the commenters with a high number. Don’t worry, my April was high, but I was below target each of February and March. So now I’m only just on track for the year. These singular data points don’t tell the whole story.

205, did not have a single day off in the whole month. Even on weekends I billed at least a few hours. Why do we live like this

0 because in house 😊

I didn't work any weekends in April and it felt great! I see some 250-300 hour months in my future tho 😳

like

Sammmmeee I billed 161 and no weekends, which definitely means weekends will be coming soon. Really should have considered my vaccination schedule before taking a month of no weekends.

220. Dumped my cohabitant girlfriend and just distracted myself with work to avoid having free time. Sleep in until 10, work until 10. Still better than it was in the relationship

I would have been getting a 30-40% guaranteed bonus in industry this year. Instead I came to Consulting, and I don’t know if my bonus will even be $30-40 dollars.

Crowd sourcing ideas: Apartment lease ending in a month. WFH extended till 2021 summer in all probability. Thinking about not renewing the lease. Within NJ, what would be some good cities to consider?
Not planning on going to bars etc so doesn't have to be Jersey City or Hoboken... thinking more serene surroundings and scope for exploring nature in the vicinity.

Can anyone provide advice on the current situation apartment-wise? I’m an associate that started last year. I’m from Birmingham, AL but moved to Chicago in September of last year for the job. I’ve moved back home w my parents and have been here since mid March and not seeing an end in sight. I recently agreed to resign my lease at my amazing condo for another year but considering I’m not using it and have no ties to the city I’m thinking I should get out of it before I actually sign. Thoughts?
