I am working on putting together a training for hiring managers on how to interview. What are the best resources that you have found out there?
I need advice on a late in life career pivot. I am spoiled - well-paid, but will never receive a raise above 1% or a decent bonus (I've hit the ceiling). My new boss is horrible, and 1/2 of the team left in the first year of her tenure. Staying is my last resort. My limitations: I need a high-level legal job (Assistant GC) in the LA area. I specialize in intellectual property law and global procurement. Do I hire someone to help with the search? The job boards have limited opportunties for me.
would you accept this offer: Customer success manager at a Series B startup $160K base, 10% annual bonus, $20K sign on bonus, $80K RSU vesting at $20k/year over 4 years, no 401k match, 100% free Healthcare, hours unknown, 100% remote Current role: Consulting manager $150K base,10% annual bonus, 13% 401k match, 35-40 hours per week, consulting travel Married with 2 kids. Single income. MCOL
I have final round interviews with two companies this week. Yesterday I was fired from my previous position. How / when should I discuss this “career update” with the two companies?
Looking to boomerang back to PwC. The offer for a salaried position was pretty solid, but that one-time sign on bonus will go away the next year (obviously). They mentioned ‘Talent-Exchange’ and getting paid hourly with no benefits. If I did that, I would make about 205k (gross, with no benefits). That’s assuming I would average 55 hours a week throughout the year (pretty similar to what I work right now). Anyone have experience doing this? I’m worried averaging 55 is not possible.
I got an offer of 26.5 lpa fixed from Capgemini. My yoe is 5 years and 4 months and tech stack is SAP SD functional consultant. How much can I expect as my in hand salary.
Got reached out to by a recruiter at McMaster-Carr. Looks concerning from online reviews, but comp package appears to be amazing. Is the horrible culture just for management trainee program? I would not be going into that. How are other groups around the company? Also interested in hear total comp for folks with ~1 year experience if possible. Thanks!
Is it wise to take a $50k base salary pay cut while the total comp remains the same and move to CA from NY. I am contemplating this as I need to get out of consulting and this offers an opportunity Into e-commerce world.
Thinking to take a job in Deloitte, but how much should I ask of salary? (Currently I am getting paid 92k) Also how's the human capital group??
Hi All, does anyone here work at Google or Facebook and could provide a referral? I know it’s a long shot but I’m aiming for growth marketing/partner management roles. Background in paid media, SEO and affiliate marketing at agencies and client side. [Google + Facebook]
There is an opening for Service Desk profile with HCL tech at Noida Location. 2-6 years of experience in international voice support required, rotational shift and immediate joining. Pls do share your resume to my watsap number -9944148369. (Only experienced)
Any thoughts on working at GM? Starting discussions with them and the comp package looks good based on what I'm seeing online. Not sure on the environment. Internal consulting org.
You like your project / team. You like your firm You are unsure about the work you are doing. You don’t want to be in consulting forever. Is it worth going to a boutique for a few years to gain more experience in a different area before exiting to industry, given it’s a 20%+ pay increase from current salary? Given I am 1-2 years from manager level.
I'm hiring for two roles in Detroit @ Campbell Ewald, media side. Paid Social Sr. Strategist and Prog/OLA Sr. Strategist. HMU for details if you or anyone you know is interested. Great client!
Is investment banking really that pathetic as a career? Thinking of getting into IB. I have 1 year in tech consulting, and 1 year in strategy consulting. I’ve been working with financial services and automotive clients. It seems easier to break into EB IB than MBB, and my goal is to exit into PE, preferably without getting a top MBA. Is it worth getting my wlb hit for 1-2 years?
Currently at EY senior 3 up for promotion to manager just interviewed with Deloitte and people seem great! Salary increase is amazing… is this a good decision hmm… you guys tell me. I have no issues with EY but my salary is not what I would like it to be and when I promote I don’t think they will come close to offer from Deloitte.
Anyone looking for a referral for an @EY Senior- or Manager-level role in digital + accounting/finance role, please DM. SQL/Python + CPA or core finance background is ideal.
Anyone take courses/get a degree from Harvard Extension School? Experience? Was it worth it? Are you also able to build a network? Realize it’s not like an MBA, but that doesn’t fit my life now .
Hired as an undergrad. Moving up quickly (should be manager this year). What benefits would I get out of doing an MBA?
Having no luck with the app cycle, no interviews at HBS/W/MIT. Any recommendations for postmortem analysis? Stats in comment

Recruiter: we are a small company Me setting up a trap: yeah I worked for startups before and I enjoyed the family-like culture balabala Recruiter not falling for my trap: we don’t treat each other like family here soooo is this a green flag? 😜
I’ve always maxed out my HSA. Have new plan options for 2022, almost identical for deductibles, copays, etc. First is completely covered by employer but no HSA contribution. Second would be $1680 premium for the year but comes with $2k HSA contribution form employer. Which would offer the better tax savings benefits? Instinct is to go with the second, but unsure tax wise what makes sense
Thinking of moving to LA for 1-2 months during this WFH time to try it out and see if I like it. Any recommendations on which websites to use to find short term furnished rentals in LA. I can only think of AirBnb at the moment. Thank You!
Has anyone stayed at the Sheraton Kauai? Reviews are iffy but best points value for SPG and Marriott on the island.
Hello fishes, my ZS associates interview is upcoming for the profile SIP. Can anyone suggest me what should I consider as preparation. It's a structured case study round. Any recent experiences. I am into Pharma. Thanks in anticipation.
I have an associates degree and 3 years of experience as a process operator at a oil distillation refinery. It’s shutting down and I really feel lost/ scared. I’m applying everywhere but hate this feeling of uncertainty. Not for me but for my kids. I don’t mind learning something new , any advice? I was thinking truck driving (CDL) or lineman school… I don’t mind moving but I love being a process operator
How long it takes to get OFFER LETTER from EY INDIA? PRE OFFER FORM Submitted 3 days back. Please tell me the process? Position- Manager( Tech Consulting) Present Package 25 lakh fixed+ 10% Variable. What best EY can offer? Matrimonial Case 498A is ongoing declared in Background Form. Now Mutually Separated . Case will be withdrawn after sometime. Does it affect? Please help.
Switched to a smaller firm after being laid off from a big 4 and I miss my old job so much. Even though I like my new job for the most part, I miss the culture, the travel, and the work 😔
Feelings don't validate a point. Reading/Research matters. Before you open your mouth to discuss any matter, make sure your points are informed by verified data. This will help you everywhere.
I’m the one whose ex won’t pay for college - and I have an update. My ex texted me today that he and his wife are buying our son a car (!!) for Christmas. On the one hand, it’s one less expense for me. On the other hand, my ex won’t pay for college and he owes me at least $10K for previous medical expenses, but he can find money for a car - which is a “fun” expense that will get him brownie points with our son. Whatever - my son benefits, but talk about a “Disneyland Dad.” Ugh.
Anyone have cases they found very helpful when preparing for interviews? Im looking for a real challenge that’s realistic to what I’ll get on the interview day
Ideas for quality protein sources that are easy to make at home and won’t break the bank? I’m getting sick of eggs and chicken breast and I’m lactose intolerant so avoid dairy. I try to avoid lunch meat due to the nitrates and avoid beef jerky due to the high sodium. I hate cooking so no elaborate recipes 😄
