trying to help someone in Tax transition to banking. I am not familiar with tax promotion tracks. Person is in Montreal at a big4. At firm 4 yrs, a senior manager. Previously were a Tax Sr Manager at diff Big4. Prior they spent 7 yrs at yet another big4 in variety of tax roles. 1 more yr at smaller firm & 5 yrs school (BA & MS in accounting) Questions - When should this person make partner? how much TOTAL comp (Base/bonus/etc) is this person making at this point 14 years of work, 13 in big4
Is it really too much to ask for a company to 2x my salary, hold my interest, and challenge me while allowing <=40 hours per week?? Begging
Heard of private credit funds as a potential from FDD with solid comp and interesting work. Does anyone have more info about this industry and how to break in?
Anyone ever used an employment offer from a client you’re currently on to renegotiate salary or not worth the effort?
Need your help please. Currently working on a VP promotion internally and going to speak w/ HR next week to negotiate comp. I’m also interviewing with a competitor but not yet at the comp discussion yet. How can I tactically approach my conversation with internal HR to maximize my number? Would appreciate your insight/experiences please. Thank you in advance!
If your on a day rate and answer some slacks over a weekend you bill right? Like reviewing edits etc.
Three months into my first job, I think I didn't ask for a high enough salary. How/when do I course correct?
Switching from consulting to PE, what should I expect in terms of salary (and potential future earnings) and WLB? Currently an Associate at MBB, and I have startup/tech background. I was approached by a headhunter about this opportunity and I'm super interested, however, would like to know more to see if it's worth it. Thank you!
Can someone explain to me the appeal of consulting (and I don’t mean it facetiously) other then comp - I’m on the startup side of things rn but just curious more than anything
Is it more impressive to make manager in 2.5 years at the same firm or move to a different big 4. Im S1, got an offer from another big 4 to be a manager but my firm (also a big 4) wants to make me a manager and match the salary immediately. Assuming the work would be similar, what would look better on my resume? Goal is to make director as quickly as possible and go in-house.
Have an offer as a sales associate at an asset management firm. Mid size, location San Fran. Have around 3 years of experience post undergrad, Econ major but not licenses or CFA (yet) doing sales planning work.. pay is 76k + bonus worth it?
Would you take the following offer: Base - ~$180K; Bonus - ~$30K; RSU - ~$15k; Total Comp - ~$225K; F500 firm, not tech, mid-west, individual contributor role with potential for senior roles in 2 years. Good WLB, but not the most interesting industry. Currently working at a T2 Strategy Consulting firm, 2.5 years out of a T10 MBA. $200K all in. 7 YoE. Happy with consulting so far and performing well, but would like better WLB. How much better are tech exit ops given SF cost of living?
Just received an offer from EY. The offer came in a bit lower than I had hoped, any tips to negotiate salary or sign on bonus? (currently an S1 at KPMG)
I’ve been trying to leave as a senior but can’t find a chill company where I can work normal 9-6 hours and make a decent salary. Looking to work in FP&A or accounting. Currently make $100K and want to move to leave. Where do I go without taking a pay cut?
Do people take a pay cut when moving from MBB to tech? Current TC - MBB manager 290k (220 base) Offer - 170k base + 15% bonus + 300k RSUs
Corporate strategy (associate level) salary in SF? Not much salary information found on Google search other than for SWE.
SO stressed from the apartment hunt. Went to see a couple of places that looked nothing like the photos. Was told by one place that: “We don’t like roommates.” Brokers asking for a $200 fee just to apply. So many 1 beds being sold as 2 beds. Current landlord ghosting me when I want to stay. If anyone knows of reasonable true 2 bedrooms in Murray Hill or Kips Bay please let me know...bonus points if theu are offering a deal rn 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
MBB folks, what’s the glamour with FAANG to you? I ask because I have done multiple strategy projects for/with FAANG, and could likely get an offer, but I still want MBB 🤨 Am I missing something?
Hey all - I am at a regional firm in the northeast (300 employees) that recently started a search to include permanent remote, full time or part time roles in every facet of our tax group. We honestly are growing quickly (below average turnover) and just need more good people as our client base grows. Good management, very fair compensation, and an actually flexible work environment (we have quite a few part time / reduced hours) and advancement opportunities... Give me a shout!
Has anyone worked for K force? How was your experience there as I have an offer for a contract role and K force is willing to transfer my visa? TIA

What are exit ops at Accenture in CDP like? Background: Senior Analyst new to consulting, not yet aligned to group, but aligned to Strategy & Consulting. Is the name respected in industry for non-technical positions? Looking to steer clear of implementations and SAP/Oracle work.
Many people are willing to take a down level from T2/big4 to MBB but would you be willing to do it for FAANG?
What is the hierarchy at Accenture in the Netherlands? I’m interviewing for a technology consultant position. What about the salary range, it seems quite low on Glassdoor, €50k. Accenture

Interviewed with Apple 6 months back (finished the final round) and did not hear from them (ghosted), the hiring manager sent me a text asking me to chat about more openings. Was I "friend-zoned" last time?
Applying to a new job now and was wondering if I could put my new title on LinkedIn and resume since I know I got promoted to SC? Definitely don't wanna lie tough if not kosher. Thoughts?
