Which is better for salary long term? Job hopping for bigger raises? Or sticking with a company hoping to move up the ladder more quickly?
Best exits in Atlanta? Tech consultant with 6 yrs of consulting. What compensation should i target?

How is the Deloitte Advisory Intel practice in the DC area? A recruiter reached out about a role. What is a good base salary? 6yoe and a TS. Is 140k -150k a good range?
Seeking Advice - appreciate any insights re move to in-house from Big Law (in DC) for better WLB/compensation. Avg. paralegal/legal staff salary? Companies recs? Preferably but not limited to the DC area. (Exp: almost 2 yrs in Litig & 6m in IP/ BS degree, cum laude) - Thanks!
Is there an unspoken code that MBB doesn’t discuss salary? I feel like visibility into their whole comp package isn’t accessible at all
After almost 2 years of job hunting, I finally put in my 2 week notice!!! I thank this bowl for answering my questions (whether good or bad) and helping me understand (and cope with) the loooong job hunt. As I know I’ll be asked in comments: moving into S&O/internal consulting (non-tech industry), 3 YOE, campus hire from progressive masters (non-biz/tech degree), HCOL (7% paycut but great benefits/bonus/WLB), reasons for leaving ACN: skills atrophy and no professional growth support from mgmt
Anyone else exited from traditional litigation to do contract work? I’m currently a BigLaw associate attorney who is considering project contract work with Paragon for the work life balance. I would love to hear from anyone who has taken this path before and bonus points if you’ve worked for Paragon. Thanks!
Is it more cost effective for an agency to have full-time editors on staff or hire freelance as-needed? I work in Chicago, so please keep that in mind when the day rate discussion inevitably happens.
I currently work as an APM at a FAANG company but recently received an offer to join an MBB. I’m very excited about the role but didn’t realize I’d need to take a pay cut when I applied (~100k base + ~20k bonus + ~60k equity vs. 90k base + 10-20k bonus). Considering that I currently work 40-60 hours/week, I’ll be making significantly less per hour at the MBB. I’m very interested in the opportunity but also don’t want to make a poor financial decision early in my career. Thank you for your time!

Anyone know the exit opportunities for someone in Advisory (management consulting) but at an SDC? Have client facing experience, 1 year in consulting, working on a large compliance project...
First year in consulting- Close to chargeability target but might receive a below average rating due to most recent project. Is this enough to let someone go based on your experience?
Does anyone work full-time with ML or MS as an advisor? How difficult is it securing an interview with these firms? Are their training programs as extensive as EDJ's?
Hey, I have applied to a job at EY for Risk assurance. My academics are pretty good and I'm pursuing ACCA with BCom, with a year of internship experience as well. I have tried to apply but I think a referral would really help. Please dm me for referrals. Would be happy to speak on linkedin as well and send my job ID as well.
Looking to eventually break into FAANG PM and wondering if I need to pursue an MBA first. Non-target undergrad, but have SWE and product experience from current and previous roles. What’s the best path forward? Any advice would be hugely appreciated!

I have a question/topic that has been on my mind since this whole COVID thing started. With all the anti-Asian sentiment going on, companies (at least mine) are now all of a sudden reacting TBC..

What is the Deloitte Marriott corporate code?
Long Post : I have a divorced female friend that I have known for over 15 years and consider as a sister. For the past couple weeks because I was on the bench and bored we talked about an hour+ often, especially when I am walking and need company. My wife went through my T mobile call history and mad because I'm talking to her too often and too long. She knows the friend as well and we all hangout on multiple occasions. Am I doing something wrong here? Or my wife is just insecure?
Hi ladies. I work in IT consulting and we don’t typically have to put notes in for billable hours, but a few weeks ago my boss asked me to start entering notes, about what exactly I was working on for client A,B,and C. I just said sure and didn’t ask why. I found out today from other colleagues that no one else was asked to enter notes in for their time. What’s a good way to ask my boss why the new change? I’d at least like to know if I did something wrong so I can improve.
In the second stage of an interview process that involves a take home project that is due when you want. Recruiter said to not spend more than 3-4 hours on it. Got it a day ago and planning to work on it and submit on Monday. Should i stick to the three hour time frame or does it look bad to put in more work?
