I am a Principal Solutions Architect with 13 YOE of which 5 years exp is with Biotech focusing on Public Cloud (AWS) & overall AWS exp. 9 years. I need suggestions /opinions if applying for a Senior Solutions Architect (Level6) at AWS makes sense or if I should aim for a Principal SA (level 7) role at AWS with Healthcare & Lifesciences industry experience. If it makes any difference, I worked for AWS ProServe as an external SA in the past. Any insights / feedback appreciated.

Just a tip but you are going about this all wrong. The question you should be asking is “any art directors out there want some spec work but need a kickass writer?"
Speaking from experience, I disagree with CD1. I’ve never found an AD or designer who was dependable when creating spec. After years of trying, I finally started paying real money and got my spec work laid out, built a decent-looking portfolio and got a job. People may say they’re down to team up on spec, but then when the time comes to make the work they disappear.
Truth
I’ve helped out a couple writers through the years. $100 with a round of revisions for a basic 3 prints/ooh campaign. I usually threw a bonus extension or two to it.
Oh yeah don’t I know it
Should have added, I do have an AD I’ve been working with on new spec campaigns! She’s just too busy to help me design all my previous stuff (which is why I’m willing to pay someone).
In that case I would actually look for designers.
If you have the right connections and you see creative chemistry, cash can be discussed secondarily. I’d be happy to pair up with a copywriter in return for connections and the right exposer (e.g. So-and-so at Droga5 saw our campaign and they want to interview you).
That type of compensation is far greater than mocking up an ad for $50-100.
