Depends on the firm. Do you mean 8 YOE total or 8 years at the partner/principal level?
Different firms have different rank definitions for principal.
Eg at EY, principal is the title for non-CPA partners— eg all tech consulting are generally principal. Someone with 8 years at principal would be making $500-800k gross.
Principal at CapGemini, as an example, is just like SM/Director level and likely making around $200k.
Total 8 yoe… in a company like rizing, or mahindra in USA.
Principals at Cap can be north of $300k in base.
Source: I’m a Principal at Cap and north of $300 base.
is it that high ? I thought SAP principals at Cap make anywhere between 220-260 base and then they have a VC comp which could take the TC to 300+. But 300+ base sounds high to me. I am saying this after speaking to a current Cap principal which grew organically.
