And when you go to pick up take out in a restaurant, do you add a tip?

Never!

Don’t... not only they charge delivery fees, but service fees on top.

Always 20% for any tip in the US. Door dash sometimes puts a min of 5, but if I have a 12 order that’s absurd

What do you do with employees who keep finding excuses for being slow on their tasks? We hired someone a couple months ago. She is doing ok with her routine tasks, but when I assign her one off project, she’s slow and would never report her progress unless I ask her. And when I ask (weeks later), half of the time she says “I was planning on doing it this week.” I tried to tell her deadlines, but it’s not working.

Hello everyone.

This is a thank you post.

This platform has helped me in a way to get more than a 100% hike.

I am working as a Data Scientist with 5.6 yrs of experience in DS/ML.

My current CTC was 12.6 LPA and after switch, I got 32.2 LPA (30 fixed).

So I would like to thank everyone who posts comments and share their experiences. This helps a lot to understand the current market scenario and whether they are underpaid or not.

PS: Attaching my CTC

Moving on from news: after 12 years in the industry, I am exploring corporate comms positions in the financial, pharma, and retail industries. My skills range from content creation, emerging technology, streaming, social media, digital marketing, digital strategy, UX and public relations/crisis communications. But I’m having a hard time convincing hiring managers that my “non-traditional” background translates to marketing/comms roles. How do you break into corp world from journalism?
