I like this idea of putting it separate!

That will depend a lot on what brings you enjoyment :-)

$500 per month for me. I’m a woman so that goes for make-up, facial creams and treatments, nails, massages, buying new clothes.

My “mad money” budget is $20k per year or $1,666/month. I don’t tend to spend increments of it every month though. Used to be for spur of the moment weekend trips, or a splurge on an item like jewelry that I wanted for myself. One time I gave a friend $5,000 (supposed to be a loan but I doubted I’d never see it again - and that was fine). Most months I spend nothing.
Nowadays I just let it accumulate. I can’t wait for international borders to reopen, I’ve got two years of spending to make happen.
Pretty much the same as you, we spend about $1k a month eating out (pre-covid), $13k a year on vacations on average (according to my spreadsheets).
We then have like our cinema memberships and other ad hoc days out which add up to probably about $2k but we are happy paying for our friends and their children to come with us to like the zoo and stuff.
Saved so much more this year that we cannot wait, considering asking the firm for 2-3 months off to go travelling

Usually $500, though I've spent almost nothing per month on fun stuff in about a year.
~1.5-2k

My husband and I get about 50-100 each month to spend on whatever we want. If we don’t spend it, it rolls over to the next month.
