What’s one self care task that you’re proud of? I’ll go first, I’ve been super consistent with my exercise regimen over the last 2 months!
Hello. Has anyone been "recycled" , told they were not a functional fit but can reapply right away and not have to go through the loop again? And were successful in getting the offer with just an additional interview?
Purely hypothetical but if you had to choose another consulting firm to be a partner for which one would you pick?
Anybody read this article? It’s about professor Amy Chua having get togethers with some of her students at YLS. The article focuses on Covid-related gatherings but explains that she had to promise to no longer have events at her home where she invited students and apparently people … gasp … drank alcohol. Since when are law students treated as children? From the sound of it you’d think she was having high school students come hang out. I mean, I was 26 when I went to law school. WTF? https://www.nytimes.com/2021/06/07/us/amy-chua-yale-law.html?referringSource=articleShare
In my school periods are 42 minutes long. By the time kids arrive to class and get settled, I have 38 on-task minutes, at best. It is impossible to get through the curriculum without leaving most kids in the dust so we pick and choose which standards to emphasize and which are expendable. Problem is compounded by the fact that the teachers in prior grades have the same problem, so kids reach me without foundation knowledge and skills. Have tried many strategies. Suggestions???
Would going to a small boutique ~20 employees be a good or bad move? They’ve been around since early 2000s and mainly focus on sell side work.
Would love to connect or discuss with other agency friends of how they price/package social media services. We aren’t profitable so wondering if we’re pricing wrong or packaging up what we offer poorly. How do you price strategy vs ongoing channel management? Etc!
Can you help in clarifying the below.
I have an offer in hand for Product Support Consultant.
Current Company : VMware(FTE)
Current CTC: 14LPA

If there is a possibility of VMware retaining me, what should be my expected CTC.
And with Broadcom acquiring, what is the job security in VMware.
AMZN, AAPL, MSFT, & GOOG are not going anywhere. Cloud computing and data are so big and I see no point in why people invest in other companies as a safety if these 4 giants run the world as we know it. How wrong am I?
Last night a hiring manager asked me what my availability at 7pm for today & Fri for an interview. I gave some availability for today & more availability for Fri since I don’t have many meetings that day. I still have yet to hear back from them & i’m nervous they might want to interview today which I would feel unprepared for since it was only a few hours notice. Would it be unprofessional to ask if it would be okay to try to schedule the interview for Fri since I have yet to hear back today?
Has anyone in IBM been on bench for more than 4 months here?
I have been on bench for almost 4 months now & have been getting automated mails asking me to get assigned to a project by searching one by myself, else necessary action might be taken.
And are there any chances of being straightaway fired based on these automated mails?
I would genuinely need an advise from someone who is aware of this kind of situation.
Thanks in advance

I'm an experienced HRBP who's looking for some career advancement advice. I'm currently studying for my SPHR and looking to take the leap to HR Director roles. While I'm a strong HRBP, I've yet to manage a team. And while I train managers on people leadership skills, I myself, haven't had a chance to flex those muscles. Those in HR leadership, should I apply for HR Director roles even though I haven't managed a team?

I used to read so many articles about Software Engineers microdosing. Now that we're fully remote, how many of you are just regular dosing after your meetings?
We have Netflix in FAANG, yet don’t see much discussion about the company. What’s up with it?
You know how most office cultures ignore minor ettiquette for ease of use? Like, sending a joke in an email to other org members for example. You're not technically supposed to but everyone does it. Well, now my boss is coming down on me--and only me--for this kind of stuff. I can't imagine HR would be sympathetic because they are actual rules. Should I just leave? I've certainly thought about it.
What to do when an employer changes the terms of your offer after joining and refuses to match the offer?
I left a well positioned job to join this company and now find that equity is not scheduled as clearly detailed in the job offer and I am set to lose in double digits.
Contract does not contain equity schedules so this is not something I could’ve found out before hand.
I like the company but this is eating me inside out.
Anyone here from Robinhood? And if so, do you feel ashamed of your company after today?
Why do FAANG companies pay above market not just for Eng talent but other non-core functions? Like HR or other functions that are largely similar anywhere else
I just accepted an offer and I'm about to transition from one tech giant to another. I'm a little nervous about all the rumors of hiring freezes and the incoming recession. I don't want to find myself in a “last hire first fire” position. Any advice?

I'm considering moving to San Diego to be closer to family. What are good tech companies there in terms of WLB and TC? Are defense companies worth it?
I was approached for a potential job by a recruiter. In the informational meeting they mentioned that the hiring manager and I are connected. I decided to reach to this person expressing interest and letting them know a recruiter would be submitting my resume. Per the recruiter that may not look well, for me personally I would like to know if any candidate is particularly interested. Is it right or wrong to reach out?
Is overemployed the new quiet quitting? The sheer thought of juggling two roles seems exhausting but I’m curious if this is really becoming more common, especially considering how many roles are fully remote now.
I would imagine organizations will be updating employment contracts to account for the trend!
I’m interviewing with Booz Allen Hamilton for their SIG group and was wondering what the work life balance is for the Data Engineers. How often are people on the bench?
For those that work in non consulting firms, what has been your WLB if the company is global? We have a global presence of both clients and employees, and I feel the expectations are that availability across a 15 hour span is the norm here. It's not 15 hours of heads down work by any means, but more the expectation of both early am meetings and late pm meetings on a recurring schedule.
Is comp at Salesforce generally competitive? It seems really low if you come in with 3 YOE or less.

Cont. from Previous Post 3 mos 8 rounds: Thank you for your interest in NR. We appreciate the time you took to apply for the CSM position. We were very fortunate to have a strong group of applicants to consider for this role and have recently filled this position.
