I've seen that number thrown around too, but yeah I assume it's an estimate/average. YOE and location probably feed into what an actual offer will look like.

I've seen anywhere from $165k to over $200k. I would assume that Cap One, being a bigger company, would pay on the higher end.

Looking to exit consulting. Currently an analyst in SF and I will be applying for roles in big tech (FB, Google, Square, etc). Since I have multiple areas of interest, is it okay to apply to multiple job positions at these firms since they are so large, or should I stick with only one or two roles?

Is anyone actually happy in corporate BigLaw?? The amount of money one can make is infinite, but time is not. I have a friend who is an ophthalmologist, makes over $300k +/year with 45 hour work weeks, very little weekend work, plenty of time with family. I’m a corporate 5th year, make less than that, work all the time (1900 hours) which isn’t even considered that high, not much job stability like similar high-paying professions, e.g., doctor, specialized medicine etc…How do y’all cope??
