FI-nance or fi-NANCE?
Safe to see friends this weekend?
I don’t think it’s about the money, it’s about the thoughtfulness of the gift. I end up spending more when I buy multiple less meaningful things which is also ok.
Been with my SO for 4 years, spent about $500 & have some in-person holiday activities planned
Towards the beginning of us dating I spent ~$200
Don’t spend much for Christmas, usually come up with a budget or specific items we want. This year was no more than $40.
We agreed to a $500 budget including stockings/etc
Never had a budgeted amount. We both work our asses off throughout the year so feel deserving of whatever we want year-end.
It really varies, anywhere from $50 to $600 if I remember correctly.
$200. Been with my partner for almost 5 years, but they went back to school. I ain’t gonna ask my SO who’s still paying tuition to buy me an expensive gift. The one year I bought him an expensive gift, he felt so guilty he couldn’t match it, so I knew not to do that again.
depends - some years tons, some not much, some we go into a family gift together, this year we are both doing a separate boy/girl trip with friends so that's our gift to each other so about $1000. I will be adding a little something silly for them to open, but its nothing big
We’ve been together 4 years, from college to now.
1st year both still in college - maybe $50
2nd year - I was in grad school - $150
3rd year - I was in grad school - $150
4th year - first year working but also a pandemic when I spent more on gifts than I prob usually would (no travel, etc) - $500
This year - $500
About $1500-2000. I have a big family.
