How much do you typically spend on your SO for Christmas?

I have 2 offers in hand 1 from tcs of 15 LPA and another from Optum of 18 LPA. Point is i have a small 8 month old kid. Due to this, i need a job which will be less hectic so that i can take care of her( i dont want to leave her to maid). So which will be a better option fr me.

Do you go see your parents when they are getting surgery?
I've never been afraid of surgery before and my dad's had a bunch (from military). He lives a few states away but I usually get to see him quite often. He's only in his 40s and my mom is with him. The surgery he's about to have is considered high risk. I'm not worried or anything, but it's it customary to go see them when they're having a major surgery? He'll be in-patient for at least a week. Sounds I go after and help my mom? WWYD?

Hi everyone, realizing my career may be incompatible with my needs at home (I have a school age child with special needs). Any moms/dads find any companies or jobs in the UX field that are part time? I am wondering if it’s possible to stay in this field or if I need to take a step back and figure out something new. What has worked for any of the working moms/dads out there. I need to be free from 2pm onwards.

I feel pathetic. I care about him and I’m too scared to ask what he wants. I always have the problem in relationships that I hide my true feelings or cannot be vulnerable until it is too late.

Got broken up with by my bf of 1 yr. He said he felt like something was missing from our relationship but couldn’t (or wouldn’t) say what. Quarantine confirmed my decision to not have kids. I can’t imagine being homebound with one all these months - seems like hell on earth.

I'm waiting on a verdict for a civil jury trial (first one) and I want to go snowboarding tomorrow. They deliberated from 9-5 today with no verdict. Is it super frowned upon if I zoom in (it was a zoom trial) in a car or on the mountain or a lodge or something? Probably a dumb question but idk if receiving verdicts is a much more relaxed etiquette.

When a job posting says 3-5 years of experience, does that mean a 3rd-5th year associate? Asking because there’s a bit of a discrepancy between the two, since if I graduated in May 2017, I’d be a third year associate this October, but only have two full years’ experience.

Unvaccinated people need to stop with the “but if you’re vaccinated why do you care” argument. Unvaccinated people are akin to drunk drivers. Even if I am sober and wearing my seatbelt, a drunk driver could still cause serious harm to me, my family, and those I care about. An unvaccinated person has a higher likelihood of catching and spreading Covid to others because they are cowards who care only about themselves. You are harming other people.
