What’s the going rate for a Mid-Market AE role?
Finished interviewing for an ATS role at Microsoft Wednesday. The interviewers said they were recommending me but I haven’t gotten any feedback from the recruiter. I’m at PwC S& and in consulting I always got at least a verbal yes day of or next day after interviewing. Does anyone know how long this usually takes? Do you get a verbal first or do they wait to have a contract?

The estimates on RepVue and Compgauge are generally accurate.
Quotas on the BDR org are fair and most people end up hitting them (or reaching close to those numbers). As with any sales role, your mileage may vary depending on your team and patch.
All in all, if your goal is to “break into” cybersecurity sales, it’s a good place to start. I think there are definitely some issues at Splunk, but for the most part, I’ve had a good time.

No idea, but what makes you want to go into a BDR role?
I know it sounds cliche to say “to get into tech sales”, but I feel that it’s the best way to get into the industry, and learning from the ground up.
I know I’d enjoy a role in sales, and feel like it’s a decent start into such a role.
