It depends if you are a campus hire or whether you come for another firm, the difference could be huge
New senior that got promoted through the ranks makes 75-80 on first year here on the east coast. If you were a senior at a B4 and you are switching the usually bring you in around 90k but you won't get big raises down the road. These are advisory numbers by the way .. Assurance doesn't get paid for shit.
what is the difference in salary between assurance and advisory?
I thought of switching to assurance when I was an exp. associate (2nd year associate) in advisory. HR told me they need to drop my salary Bc I make more than the first year seniors in assurance. So I said no thanks. I will stay here lol
