Which company would you join?
I currently work in Sales with the intention of moving over to marketing in the near future. I received two offers for BDR/SDR roles from Sprout Social and Gong. Both salaries are around the same (Gong - base 63k + anticipated $25k in commission, Sprout - 55k base + anticipated $25k in commission).
I like both companies’ software and it extremely hard to decide which position will get me into marketing faster as it is not a traditional BDR path to take.
Help!

200-300 cash comp before 401(k) in US. Age range is 25-35. Typically start as manager ~2 years post b school and do it for 2 years before promote. Can get there as fast as 3 years post undergrad for high performers.
They must be more than $180k total comp. I'd say $230k+ depending on tenure and performance
The EM became VP at Paypal
@MCK1 You're spot on. My EM just left with a 4.5 year tenure to become head of US strategy at a F500 pharma co. Can only imagine she's making $300k+

@EY1 what group are you in? As a new M1, $160-$170 base seems awfully high...
What's EM stand for at McKinsey?
Engagement Manager*
I think they avg around 180
How old is the typical EM at McKinsey? I'm assuming it's the equivalent of a manager at a big 4? I'm looking to make manager and hopefully be at $160-170k base for manager 1 and maybe $230k base for manager 3 if I don't burn out by then but also thinking of applying to McKinsey
I don't know PayPal but VP exit for EM is above average but in range. I know one case of an EM who exited for nearly 7 figures total comp. Special case where client CEO liked him a lot.
Damn
180 is too low for a MCK EM- that is what PWC managers make and we are about 1 level lower in terms of tenure
S& M1's are 172 base about 230 all in
For reference
I think most exits have slight pay bump at EM level
