I hate my project manager. They constantly get credit for my work, don’t pay attention in meetings and leave early. Today they literally asked me what the roadblock was 30 min after we got off a call that they were on their phone the whole time during. Then they were asking when everyone’s flights were because they wanted to leave early but didn’t want to be the first to leave since they’re staying the weekend and they then just up and left at 2pm. It’s ridiculous.

The perfectionist post made me think this is a good place to ask: how do you deal with a manager or team lead who's micromanaging or refusing to delegate? I like my team lead but everything down to the smallest detail has to be checked and rechecked by him and it slows down EVERYONE else. Our team is doing really good work, it's just taking longer than it should and it's frustrating to feel like he doesn't trust our skills at all.

I hope he’s in as much pain as I am. The way he ended it was so cold and selfish and unlike how he was any other time with me. It was like a personality switch. I’ve never been so wrong about someone. I’m not sure how to process or recover from that part of it.
It used to be everyone in Vegas or Miami. Now it’s 8 hours on zoom. It's not the same. Did anyone have a real kickoff this year?

About to hit my 6 year anniversary (fully vested 401k) and I'm frustrated by the lack of upward mobility and the terrible splits in revenue vs compensation but I'm worried about giving up job security. Honestly, complacency has gotten the best of me and I'm looking for some advice.

My company has always had SalesForce but it was not really a tool that we used or that anyone looked at. Over the last year my company has put more stress on growth (to be acquired or IPO) and they are now obsessed. I know it is important and necessary and my boss is clearly becoming stressed with our entire team. But I find it extremely hard to keep as up to date and in line with they new expectations, anyone have any advice on how they stay motivated with SalesForce? Thanks!

Anybody out here know of any “development programs” for mid career professionals looking to transition to sales? Have a data/analytics b/g., but I’m much more social than a “typical” data/analytics person. I need some advice…not to sure what to think about this. Been working for a 4 years. I was the first sales leader. Working with the founder. I hired first 4 AE’s in 2018, team grew to 20 in 2019. Created SDR and account management role from scratch, 2020 team went to 30. 2021 42 reps and 2022 54. They hired a vp of sales who has no Saas experience and I need to train him. I got turned for the position as vp as I don’t have the experience in scaling. Which I do. 3 companies scaled to over 50m at
It will definitely vary based on the COL of the area you'd be working, how many years of experience you have, etc. Can you provide more details?
I would ask for no less than 75k. That is probably a fair salary for that position and YOE.
My friend earns 75k. But he wishes he had negotiated when he got the job. Hope this helps!
Which location and how many years of experience? The average salary for SM usually is $70-$75k. You can negotiate if you think your value is more than the average pay.
