Mortgage application was denied (condo couldn’t get approved). I have a chance to walk away. Condo market in the city I’m in is relatively weak. Could I offer to try another lender at a lower price or is the only option to break the contract? I don’t mind walking away and finding another condo.

Anyone have a lead on banking positions around Philadelphia to Lehigh County? I have 10 years of experience and I am currently in management. I'd 100% be ok taking a step out of management for the right position.
About to start. Job search for the first time in decades. In the past I knew someone who knew someone and recommended me. Are all job search sites created equal? Any tips?
Please please please go read the book onward by Elena Agulair. I’m currently reading it and love it, about teacher resilience.

Hi all! What do L9 consultants in Health S&C for Philadelphia office make? Just want to get an idea since I might transition office to there from a HCOL city. Thanks!
Need quick (10-20 min) mid-day exercise recommendations. I don’t need to lose any weight, just really need to get my body moving and would love something that helps build some strength. The only time I can really do it with new baby and work is lunch time so it also can’t be TOO sweaty. Recommendations on videos, guides, etc to help me establish some type of daily exercise routine? TIA!
Does the RSM Pittsburgh office have a real estate tax group or do they provide services to real estate tax clients?

Additional Posts in Advisory in Accounting
Looking for a referral to KPMG AAS, thanks!
Have been looking for accounting advisory jobs and can’t seem to find any. Are firms hiring again?
I found out a colleague who is the same rank/group/office as me has a 15k higher salary... Isn't that pretty ridiculous?
Anyone work advisory in Seattle? Moving that way in a few months and starting to look at my options. Would love to chat and be a referral if it works out.
How frequent are team changes in advisory? I spent 3 years on the same audit client. I joined kpmg advisory in January and I've been on 3 teams in the last year here.
Is that normal? The last 2 contracts, 1 was downsized mid contract year, and the other simply wasn't renewed for a new option year, so it's not due to my performance.
I'm getting tired of learning new people and workflows, and I'm considering leaving bc of it, but I wanted to see if it was common before I made any rash decisions
Would going to accounting advisory or finance in industry or Ops at a big bank be a better option for career?
What type of advisory has good pay, decent work life balance, rarely requires travel, and allows fully wfh options. I have 1.5 years audit experience and am a CPA. Please advice me 🙏
Any advice on how to request a 20% raise? This is my first career out of college. I signed my offer letter knowing that I was being underpaid by 10%, as per the posted position salary. My 1-year appraisal is close and I would like to request 20% based on an increased workload; I would also like to make up for being underpaid my first year.
My dilemma: Many companies only pay up to a 4% raise. However, that will not cover much in this economy, and I would still be still underpaid.
Does pay in corporate max out at a certain point unless you make C-Suite? Thinking fp&a track specifically.
What careers are there after IT Audit. Would you recommend staying until you are a manager or just a senior? Would you recommend getting your MBA?
Does anyone have first hand experience with this?
Is your firm hiring for remote advisory positions? What service line? What does the work look like?
My Accounting background is:
3 years GT Audit - manage small team, manage engagements, audit etc
2 years Industry Accounting - manage small team, improve monthly processes, month-end close, reconciliations, generate financial reports, generate budget and forecasts
Has anyone transitioned from audit to transactional audit services? What was your experience and did you regret it? What were some of the challenges you faced and what are the exit opportunities?
New Senior 3 here, I am unsure what I should try to specialize in out of the FAAS offerings. They all sound pretty interesting, and it seems like most manager+ level are aligned with a service pillar. Which of the below would provide best exit opp / pay?
1. TAAG: Technical accounting
2. Transactions: Assume this is deals support like CMAAS?
3. ESG and Sustainability
4. Finance Optimization (ERP Implementation)
5. Treasury / Risk Management / Financial instrument (not sure about details tho)

I had an initial call with a recruiter and got turned down about 6-7 months ago. I was having a really bad day (just found out a relative had passed, more than normal work stress, ect) and just really had a tough time gathering my thoughts. I honestly should have rescheduled the call but I just didn’t really want to have to push it out and coordinate schedules again. Any chance I can get a second look? The career path aligns with my interests and my background is a great fit.
Is it possible to transfer to accounting advisory (FAAS CMAAS) as a manager? How’s the learning curve?
How do you guys make all the travel more manageable? How do you keep your significant other from freaking out about it?
