Does that mean that if manager does not approve before the due date, my resignation is declined? What is the impact and what is meant by that due date? IBM

Below 70k. Only tech companies entertain anything above 80k. When I was interviewing last year my salary request started at 90k and I had four companies accepting that salary request out of 50+ companies I applied for.
Now mind you, I had about 10 companies reach out to me anyway and ask if I would go below 90. I told them all no. Many of them were surprised that I was able to snag interviews with the salary request in the Atlanta region. But I think that's really just based on each individual company's capability to budget for talent.
I have 30 years of experience, So I wasn't willing to budge.
So happy for you! Thanks for sharing your experience
OP if you could edit this and add additional details to the original post such as location, years of experience, level of execs supporting; all of these points are critical to the salary range determined for your role. The group could give you a better idea of what to expect or what their salary looks like or looked like at that stage of their career if they had this info

Depends what city, specialty, years of experience, and education you have. I’ve seen EAs make as low as 35k-125k not including bonus packages, etc.

I’m an EA to Managing Partner - My total package is $180k (with bonus) with 100% full medical/dental - though you should be prepared to be on call 24/7 and be dealing with stuff at 5am if need be. I have 5 years experience. When I started at my first company I was on 75k. (Finance - Hedge Fund)
EAs at BCG range from 65-85 depending on city. I’m sure there are some exceptions along the way
