I have an honest question. What good is the point of these posts? What are you going to get out of these? You are who you are and where you are at this point in life and knowing about others savings isn’t going to be helpful in anyway. You are not going to learn stuff by knowing someone’s salary and get a better job. Your investments aren’t gonna go up either.
Ask better questions. What are your investment strategies? How much do you invest? How can someone increase their savings? How to learn something new that will get you somewhere better?
I am sorry if it comes across as harsh but other than being jealous, measuring your dick, exposing your insecurities, I don’t see the point of this post. Good luck!
I think all depends on the perception and approach. I do understand and see how some people with poor mindset may take it the wrong way (Jealous, insecurities, etc). In the other hand, if you have the right mindset the data give you visibility and the ability to identify the bar/benchmark leading to work harder towards success. I do appreciate knowing those details.

26, single and living alone in Okahoma, $85K salary (gradual increases from $56K I started at age 22, plus some bonuses in):
$35K retirement
$6K IRA
$26K investments
$13K liquid cash designated as savings
I started work with $7K in student loans, I do not have any sort of inheritances or familial support.
Sometimes it feels like I’ll never have the things I want, like a house of my own, but my savings have been steadily increasing over the past couple years despite some majorly expensive setbacks (long-term breakup, move across state lines, accident totaling my car).
This thread helps to remember that some of the people I compare myself against didn’t start at zero (or negative) when their job started.
Yeah people start these threads with their trust fund money, or salary that’s performance based to show how successful they are. I respect the guy that comes from nothing and makes something of himself. Not all of us are handed a future. You’re doing great at your age. Time the market correctly on the housing market and you’ll do fine. You’ll know it’s the right time when everyone is panic selling.
Dude every day on this app it’s a d*** measuring contest with you people
Just saying
23, 70k salary, $1600 in my savings account🥴
Loving this thread thanks to sensible folk 😬
$26M (grandpa’s will) and make 95k. Good luck everyone else. If any catches up before 35, I’d be impressed. Be sad OP.
Cool and all but my pops is Jeff bezos, my gramps is warren buffet and I myself am bill gates...so I have all you beat
Not this again...
It’s not about being jealous or a poor mindset. There’s just too many factors to take into account and phrasing it like “how much do you make at 26” doesn’t help. It’s not “market rate” to be making 200k base at 26. From what I see on this post, everyone making that much is at MBB or lives in SF.
Nice try, Fidelity sales rep!
Currently 26; saved up ~150k, salary 135k. Came from nothing though and have hustled to pay off student loans and push through
Keep up the good work 💪🏾
26 sittin on 26 mil
26, $99k base, $20k saved in the bank and $25k in a 401k. No debt. Both my parents grew up poor and I don’t have/ will never have family money coming my way. All these posts about crazy inheritances make me very jealous but also proud that everything I have, I got through my own hard work and grit. 🤷🏼♀️ 💪🏻
Grinds my gears when people talk about inequality. Inequality of wealth is not evil and does not cause harm to a society. We should be focusing on growing lower and middle class wages. Inequality and high middle class wages can both exist at the same time. People here are blinded by what is being blasted on mainstream media. Focus on the issue that matters
Liquid cash excluding investments and will. (25yod)
The real question is: Can you photoshop that balance to my real bank account tho 🤣
25, make 68k, and excluding my 401k have about 5.5k saved up :-)
Sounds about right
25 year old @ $120K comp
Net worth of $130K with $35K cash, $32K in 401k, and $63K in equity in my rental prop.
No inheritance or gifts or cash flow negative-debt. Raised by immigrant single mother.
I have like 4k saved.. people saving is horrible for the economy and hoards money. Spend money, pay the appropriate taxes, have a govt with robust programs that they can fund and we won't have to worry about only a select few being able to live decently past 65. Taking money put of the market and hoarding it should be illegal.
I have a life to go live. Have fun on the post. Tata
26, single F, 250k this year (base + bonus), 80k in savings.
Same unsubscribing now. This thread is making me depressed. 😔🤢
Basically they’re all out of my league and idk why were on the same app as professionals from the same industry.
At 26 big fat zero saved. 35k a year maybe wa salary
I was not working at Accenture at 26. I didn’t have a college degree yet and was working as a accounts receivable clerk with just a high school diploma.
Real talk - I make $115k (Level 9 consultant in DC, MC). I have about $80k saved between savings, retirement, and my stock holdings. Trying my best to save for a good down payment so I can buy a 2 bedroom condo. Didn’t come from much and every penny I have I earned. Want to build a good nest so my kids don’t struggle like I did.
23 year old L9 at 120k here. Just jump to a different company if you’re underpaid
