This is a really helpful thread! I save about $5-8k per month bc I'm trying to get serious about buying a house. I used to order delivery a lot and now we make more dinners at home. I don't have major expenses yet, just dog walker, car payments, etc. so that helps a ton. Also anyone at pwc that thinks we get big league bonuses is smoking crack. We definitely don't. The manager milestone is good but that's it.
It's all based on your lifestyle. 5 years ago I made less than what I do now and I was saving 2000-2500 a month. Now I can barely save anything and I'm waiting on payday. It's because I had to have a "nicer" car and a "nicer" apartment. And I felt entitled to take nice trips because I "work hard" 😂. If you can't save then there's a 99% likelihood you are living beyond your means and you need to adjust your lifestyle. #DaveRamseyShowedMeTheLight
Posts like this make me cringe 😩
I make 160 and save about 650 a month. I'd say that's pretty high 😂
@A1 you save more than I take home 😔
Yea $4k is tough, I got a mortgage and shit...I could probably do $3k but eff it I like to live! Here's to fast cars and good food 🍻
That is so low
A2, I make around 120k and max my 401k. If I were to save 2500 per month that would be almost a full paycheck. How is that low?
I take home $3950 a month. So, I save less than that.
It depends on your income. If you are making 80k that is high. If you are making 120k that is low.
Do u people live w your mommy and daddy or what
SMH I need a raise seriously
Wow I take home like $4400/month, 1775 rent, 500 student loans, 100 cable/int..... needless to say I don't save $2k.
$82k, Paycheck after deductions is around $1900. So I'm lucky if I save $1k/mo.
You're like me D2, we should get drinks and discuss how life is short
Between my mortgage, property tax, common charges (doorman building in NYC so it's high) and half the nannies salary each month (3k) I'm lucky if I break even each month 😒
$132k and save $1500/mo. Apartment, car, and life take up the rest
Am I the only one who thinks this post reeks of (not so) humble brag? Maybe even a troll?
Wtf $10k a month!?!?
I don't save anything, check to check. But I understand where I've made mistakes and I'm fixing that. Downgrading my lifestyle, but I'd rather drive an old car and have a basic apartment with an overflowing bank account.
How do you save so much?
